Hello All
I have been poking around this forum for awhile mostly reading up on the PC's equipment and possible modifications but thought I might just introduce my self
Elaine and I used to sail around and live on a 35' sailboat.  We moved ashore and purchased a VW bus as our first camper.  Then on to VW Rialta by Winnebago.  They were both great but as we age we wanted a little more comfort. I first saw a phoenix crusier in my RV park and was please to see a midsized RV with twin beds like the Rialta we had.  We purchased a 2007 model 2551 in December 2020.  I am impressed with it to say the least.  So far I have got all the lights working, steps in working order and just finished replacing the guts on the Norcold refer to 12 volt compressor style.  The new unit came from JC refrigeration (Dutch Aire) was fairly simple to convert. Looking forward to actually using it soon.  Thanks to all who publish thier upgrades on this site as I am still looking to make improvments  This site is wonderful.

Hey!
Welcome Patrick and Elaine!
Sounds like you guys have quite a varied background and considerable experience.  In addition to your RVs, there's a lot of things from the boat world that translate to land travel too!  We'll look forward to you contributing your knowledge and expertise when it fits.  In the meanwhile, as you say, there's a lot of folks on the site that are willing to help if they can, so don't be shy with any questions.

Looking forward to hearing more from you,        Mike

Welcome Patrick and Elaine!

Given that you have a 2007 model year like we do, there will be more than the usual amount of similarities between our rigs even though the floor plans are different.

I maintain a compilation of links to posts on things I learned and modified, many of which will apply to your 2007 2551.

One of the hardest parts of switching from sailing to rv-ing is calling it a “campsite”, not. “Slip”.  Another is switching from bow and stern to back and front. But it’s amazing the number of things that rvs and sailboats have in common.

How about "Shore Power".  Some people use it as do I.  It fits so well for motorhome applications.

Hello fellow RVers.  New to this forum but not Rving.  We just purchased a new Phoenix USA TRX from LaMesa RV in San Diego.  We plan on taking a very long trip, LOL,  from Joshua Tree, Ca to NC, to Washington DC to Michigan, Nebraska, Colorado, and then continue on back home. Lots of family we haven't seen in a very long time. Lots of stops planned. We did a similar trip about 12 years ago in a 2007 Fleetwood Jamboree 31M.

If there are any other TRX owners out there, would love to hear from you.  All the best to everyone and be safe.

OH, anyone know what kind of wrap-around outside windshield and door window cover I should get for the TRX?  Can't seem to find but a Class C and not sure that would fit the Ford Transit 350HD SET-UP.  I looked and searched on the internet, Amazon, etc and nothing specific for Ford Transit. Thanks for your help.  >:(

Hi Betsy!  Welcome to you and yours!!

You're going to be a popular poster on this forum if you choose to contribute.  Not just for the experience you bring, but as a new TRX owner!  There have been multiple posts over recent time requesting input from any TRX owners on one thing or another--but it seems that most of the usual crew that lurk here have the standard Phoenix Cruisers of various years and models rather than TRX's.  If you guys will kick in with some input, maybe some of the other owners will follow suit--they've got to be out there, we just don't hear from them much!

In any case, glad to hear from you and again--WELCOME!

All the best,       Mike

Buying brand new just to return to make things right, is always concerning.  Trivial things are typical which most people take care of themselves at home with their own tools.  But serious issues is a different story.  Hopefully your experience is "once and done".

One thing certain, every motorhome regardless of the brand, doesn't compare to the production quality of a typical car.  It's not possible to be made to the same standards.  That is a big reason why I like a class-C over a class-A motorhome.  The front cab is made to a much higher standard, including crash/safety.  If only the RV manufactures didn't cut the roof which degrades side-impact and roll-over significantly.  I think I would be willing to "duck" for safety sake.

Hi,

I'm the proud owner of a new 2019 2910T.  I have already learned a lot from this forum. I'm down sizing from a 38 ft DP.  This will certainly be a big change. I have been in class A coaches since 1993. I've got a lengthy list of things to do to get all my gear reconfigured/changed to match the significantly smaller weight and volume capacity of this coach.

While it may be new, it has the usual lot rot from sitting at Campers Inn lots in New Hampshire and Jacksonville for some time. One of the first things I did was replace the new (5000 miles) original Hankook tires with load index 121 Michelin Agils Cross Climate tires and Borg dually valve stems. This should help with this heavily loaded model and made it much easier to install TPMS sensors.

One thing I haven't figured out is the far right entry door switch. The tech that did our CI walk through had no idea what it did. So far I haven't seen anything either. Does anyone have this switch? If so, what does it do on your coach?

This my first post so no idea how the pictures will turn out.

Kevin

"VERY" smart move with the heaviest of all PC's, the 2910T.  You got the "Cadillac" of PC's.  Those higher-load-rated tires are most appropriate for your application.  Now you can rest easy and enjoy.

Welcome to the family.

Hi Kevin!  Welcome to the forum!  That's a great looking 2910T!

Sorry I can't help with the switch.  The other switches in your photo are pretty much standard items on recent PCs (though some are located in different places on different models), but I haven't seen anything to duplicate that unlabeled one on the far right.  Unless another forum member comes through for you here, you may be down to just experimenting with ON and OFF---surely it has to control something.

Again, welcome!     Mike

Thanks for the feedback so far. It would be nice if someone has the switch on their coach. Would Phoenix have this level of detail in their records?
