Barry,

Thank you for sharing the picture of your 2551!  I can't begin to express how much it helps seeing the different configurations and then hearing about what you like (and/or would change).  I'm thinking that I might not be able to swivel the driver's seat with the 4x4 option.  I'm not sure if the seat would clear the 4x4 floor shift lever.  But you are right... it does make it quite spacious... and who couldn't use extra storage?!

Thanks again!

Jim

Hey, y'all!

We are Russ and Linda from Kentucky.  We are both recently retired and are very interested in rving, something we have never done but have been interested in for years.

When we first became interested we were looking at larger travel trailers, then became aware of molded fiberglass trailers.  We first landed on the Casita,  then the Escape, then the Oliver, which we really liked except for that tiny wet bath.  Then having doubts about towing, we took a look at class B and C rigs, working our way through several manufacturers. And here we are! On the day I stumbled across Phoenix Cruiser, I announced to Russ, "Found it! "!

We are interested in the 3100 or a custom 2910 with twin beds such as some on this forum have. We'll make the trip to the factory early next year to help us make a better decision.  We want very much to get it right the first time, but that may be wishful thinking having never used an rv before.  However, this forum has already been tremendously helpful. I've read through most of the posts over the last few weeks and have learned a great deal about the models and customizations.

Thanks to all who ask questions and to all who answer!

Linda

welcome Russ and Linda!  I thnk those of us here will agree that you are in the right place.   (exactly)  My wife and I have enjoyed our 3100 for about 3 1/2 years and we will be getting a 2016 2910D in January.  We cannot say enough positive things about the people at the PC factory and those on this forum.  Hope to see you in a PC in 2016.

Welcome, Russ & Linda!

I, too, am an aspiring future PC owner.  And, like you, I've perused many a post in these forums.  There is so much good information and so many fine folks willing to answer questions.  I hope you find everything you need to make the "perfect purchase"!

Hi,
We are proud new owners of a used 2350 on a Ford E350 (2013). We were thinking about getting a Class C and did a test drive didn't like the feel of a Class C. and with just the two of us we didn't need all that room. So our search began.

We found a 2350 but it wasn't near by (350 miles).  So we drove 350 miles to go see the 2350 then drove back home to only return the next day to purchase it. The best part of the drive(s) was the return trip home in the 2350 it was just awesome.

This forum was a very big part of our decision to seek out the 2350 we purchased.

We are excited to start hitting the road.

Welcome, Dave and Lenore!  We also took a 5 hr drive to look at a well-used 2551 before buying our 2552.  Nothing beats seeing one in person.  Congrats on your purchase!

Congratulations Dave and Lenore!  I see your rig is like our 2350 no-slide but 6 years newer.  Your fun has just begun.  As you know by now, the family of PC owners are always a "post" away to help with any questions you may have......and you will have questions.

Post some pictures when you get round to it.  We'd love to see it.

Barry-Sue,

I have been meaning to say this for a very long time now.
I really like what you special requested for your old 2551.  The symmetrical (the book-end look) wing wall cabinetry with desks are not the norm....is it?  How well has that been working for you over the years?

Just purchased my 2007 2100. It is in excellent condition and has under 11,000 miles. I've been a widow for a number of years and love to travel. So happy with the ease of driving and no need for a tow vehicle with this PC. What a difference from my the old Class A. Have Feb commitments so I won't be traveling for a while. Looking forward to getting out of Midwest weather.   ;)  I've learned a lot from this forum. Thanks, to all that have posted. Soon will post photos.

First thing I want to thank all the members on the forum, I/we have been lurking on the site for the last 8 months while we did all our research to pick our modifications/options and manufacturer.  I feel like I know a lot of you without ever having met you.  We placed our order for our 2351 on a 450 chassis last Monday and now will begin the long wait until August when we can accept delivery.  We are currently goat farmer and cheese makers in northern Michigan and promised our co-op members that they could have one last season.

We did a fair number of modifications to our unit, and Ron - sorry but we did go with the slide out.  See I do know some of you.  We visited 4 manufacturers and a couple of shows to come up with our specific unit.  We did an open bathroom - not for everyone but it works for us.  We saw this at another manufacturer and it really opens up the bedroom.  We moved the toilet to the outside wall and then removed that part of the wall next to the bed.  It opens up the bed and we still have the bedroom drape to hide the bathroom if needed.  Again it's just the two of us, so we love the extra space.  I have opened another thread with a listing of our modifications.

We live in northern Michigan and are willing to accept forum members for blacktop boondocking on the farm up until September of this year.  We can provide access to 110 power and water.  This is our thank you to all the members who helped us pick the perfect unit for us.  Just let us know in advance.

Thanks, George and Jill Budzynski  -- The polish prince in because my older brother, when we were kids, used to say we were descended from royalty.  Ha, Budzynski just means we are "of Budzyn" a town in Poland.

Welcome!!! You made the correct decision with the slide in the 2351. Our first PC, the 2350 on the Sprinter chassis, did not have a slide. Knowing now--what we did not then--we certainly would have ordered ours with the slide. It gives so much extra room. It took us 3 tries to get it right---2350 no slide, 2551 no slide!!! Custom 2910 with one slide is perfect for the tow of us. We generally are away from home for 4 months so we have the living space that we need.

If you get to Florida next winter, give us a shout. And again, congrats and welcome. y-- y-- y--
