I am a brand new RV-er and I am in the process of purchasing a 2007 PC 2551.  The inside is like new and it only has 13,500 or so miles on it.  I had to drive 344 miles to see it and check it out and it should be ready in a week or so.  I would like to know if I can get an owner's manual for it.  Since I am new to it I have been devouring everything I can on line to learn about the ins and outs of how things work and what maintenance I should be doing, etc.  For instance, for the fresh water tanks, add a proper amount of bleach, run the faucets one at a time until I smell the bleach, then drain the tank, put fresh water back in and run the faucets until bleach can no longer be detected in the faucets.  The instructions I saw said to use a quarter cup of bleach per 10 gallons, I think.  Is there any where I can go to get all of these maintenance tips in one spot or do I just have to find my way around system by system?  I'm looking forward to being able to participate with the forum and hope  soon I won't have just questions but can contribute my experiences also as I am headed north for the summer!  Going to get out of the Phoenix summer heat!

I think the manuals are available on this site.  Good luck.  We are not new to RVing so if I can help in any way, let me know.  We are new to the Phoenix though.  We both are getting the same model.  Keep in touch!  Good luck.

9.5 mpg with a 2552 towing is exceptional!

The green interior was my wife's doing.  I take no credit.....or responsibility for that matter.

We are an hour north of I-80

Regarding my drawers (wood, not cloth) I got so close to completing the project before the OT kicked in...it figures....Bch, bch, bch   roflol

Enjoy your trip!

Your wife did well, I LOVE the green.

BarbRN,

Congrats!

Most people place the garbage can under the sink in that cabinet.  But we like our coffee maker there as designed so we have a free standing can we place below the fridge in our no-slide 2350.  You get a glimps of it in this picture, the stainless steel box behind the dinette bench.

We have a sofa, not dinette so I'm wondering if I have that spot to work with :(

First off--Welcome to the Forum and Congrats on your PC's  y-- y-- y--

You know, I can't remember where we put our garbage can when we had a 2551 (or the 2350 for that matter). That's what happens when you age!!!I believe that it was a freestanding one like Ron's. We now have a 2910 and our garbage can is beside the door. We take the trash out at least once a day so nothing sits and smells.

I guess something is wrong with us 'cause we are heading to Arizona from Florida at the end of July--by way of Colrado Springs, Mesa Verde Nat'l Park, Arches NP, Canyonlands NP, Moab,Grand Canyon NP and arriving in Phoenix on Sept. 2. I am not looking forward to the heat but we are looking forward to visiting the daughter and grandson. Then down to Tucson, Karcher Caverns and home to Florida. Should be an interesting trip. Never been West in the PC.

Safe travels and hope to see you in Florida

"The Cape Neddick Lighthouse stands on Nubble Island about 100yd (90m) off Cape Neddick Point. It is commonly known as Nubble Light or simply The Nubble. Cape Neddick Point is at the north end of Long Sands Beach in the village of York Beach. The lighthouse is inaccessible to the general public, but the nearby mainland is occupied by Sohier Park which offers a telescope with which to view the lighthouse and a gift shop with a "Nubble" theme."

I will be very interested in the details of your trip west and the weather. I wish we following behind you out there, that is on our list of trips but not sure when it will happen.

We tried to camp in St. Augustine and Ocala last week but between the heat, humidity, mosquitos, deer flies, and rain we pulled up stakes and headed back south. We can get that abuse (minue the deer flies) with leaving home  roflol !!!

If we don't speak with you before .... Have a great safe trip, stay cool, and have fun !

Carol & Vince

ps .... we stored our garbarge can in our 2350 behind the drivers seat and our slide, perfect little spot and it was not really noticable.

Congratulations, you got a great one, we had our eye on it too but had a trade in here in Florida.  Good luck, maybe we'll run into each other...well, not literally.
