Firstly, welcome to the Forum and it looks as if we will have another PC in Florida!!!
I totally disagree with Ron about the antenna. It is NOT a pain to set up, does not take long at all and the reception that we have encountered is great with the Winegard antenna. We bought a satellite receiver to take with us when we got our 2350-paid $800-and have never used it!!! That said, a couple of other points:
Our first PC was a 2350 Sprinter without a slide. It was our 2nd RV--we had an Class B for a year before. If we were to do it all over again, we would have ordered it with the slide. More comfort.
I agree with Ron regarding the insulated glass in the windows. It really cuts down the outside noise as well as keeping the MH cooler/warmer (depending). We have had them in all 3 of our PCs.
When we ordered our first PC, we did not go to the factory. We ordered it over the phone/internet. No regrets at all. We had it delivered to Atlanta and we picked it up there. We brought it home to Punta Gorda and had really no problems on the trip home--it did need an alignment which PC tooke care of. The next year, when we ordered our 2551 without the slide, we picked up the 2551 in Tampa. Again, no problems! Last year, we did drive the 2551 to Elkhart to trade it in on the 2910. If we lived closer, things would have been different. We might think differently, if we had problems with the vehicle after pick up.
For us, we made two mistakes by ordering without the slide. Now, we have our 2910 with only one slide in the living area and twin beds in the back and love it.
Phoenix USA is a really great Co. to deal with. Theuir customer service is excellant!
