General Discussion / Re: Black tank flush
« Last post by garmp on July 12, 2025, 03:41:37 pm »
I went the Dawn route, twice. Both with no better results. Took it to a local RV repair shop and they pulled the tank. Said the sprayer & tank was all calcified. Soaked it in a solution then cleaned the sprayer.
But thanks for all the advice. Hope to see you in Louisiana.

General Discussion / Under cabinet strip light
« Last post by garmp on July 11, 2025, 03:55:40 pm »
Has anyone replaced one? On another post I was told to be sure to cut the old light wires as close to the fixture because the new ones don't have much wire to splice together. Keith at the mothership told me they are out of stock to call back next month. I was wondering if they can also be found on line some where. I don't know the manufacturer or model.
The end cap, where you touh, to turn it on & off came out and is dangling. When I put it back into the light, the light turns off and will not come back on.
Any thoughts?

Sale is pending.  He also adjusted the price up by $10,000, to $24,500.

Hi, is the dinette in a 2004 model smaller than the dinette in the newer models…?
From what I can tell from the pictures, the no-slide dinette in that 2004-2551, is nearly identical to our no-slide dinette in our 2007-2350.  CLICK HERE FOR MANY PICTURES OF OUR 2350 NO-SLIDE DINETTE.  For dimensionals, I am 5'-11" tall.  When our dinette is setup into a bed, laying flat on my back with my heels touching one end, I feel my hair touching the other end.

The pictured dinette seems to have a shorter front-favoring backrest meaning the bench might be closer to the driver seat, or the finished angular transition wall protrudes more.  Then again, it just might be an illusion, making it identical to ours.

Pending the PC model and features, a dinette inside a slide-out is sometimes smaller because the slide-out itself cannot utilize the angular transition wall like the no-slide version, which pushes the front dinette bench about 9 or more inches rearward.  As a result, the table gets tiny, along with a serious lack of legroom.

There are a rare few 2351s and 2552s out there, custom ordered without a slideout.  If also ordered without the adjacent panty/closet, the size of the dining table is exceptional along with piles of legroom, both of which I consider to be "tops."  Our dinette works well, but bigger (benches farther apart with a bigger table) would be better.

General Discussion / Slide out cabinets shaking loose
« Last post by Jerry brown on July 02, 2025, 10:15:48 am »
Our 2015 2910D has been a beast. Super reliable. That said the roads in Kentucky have loosened the cabinets mounted below the stove top and causing separation from the side of the slide out. We just completed our trek from Texas to upstate NY and I want to secure before heading back. Anyone else have this issue and can offer any input before I start?

On Facebook Marketplace, there is what appears to be a great deal in the Chicago north/west suburbs, for someone who wants a shorter PC, model 2551 with twin beds and a no-slideout dinette.  CLICK HERE to get to the ad which includes the seller's first name and phone number.

I know nothing more other than what we all see in the ad.

Being a 2004 model year, it will have only one house battery, no whole house inverter, and no sanicon.

Most rv shoppers  have never even heard of a Phoenix Cruiser.

After 9+ years of adventuring around  CA and the southwest Iv’e only seen 2 other PC’s, a 2350  and a 2100.

This website currently shows PC factory outlets in just 5 states.

I see a Hoosier Cruiser is for sale on RV Trader.  Those are the same people that built most of the PCs prior 2019 or so.  They do not use the Swintek slide but the original PC slide.  They have ducted air and a number of small improvements that make things better.  Not sure how successful they are in selling units.  But it is another option.

In my opinion, PC still makes a quality unit.  They just priced themselves out of the market when they went from factory order to dealer network. They just restarted a prototype for a Super Class C.  So that model may not be available for a while.  It also seems like all RV sales have tanked.  Used RV prices are diving.  So the coming months may be buying opportunity for interested purchasers.
