We are Hank and Joyce Whitney from Custer SD (The Black Hills, 15 miles south of Mt Rushmore). On March 23 we traded in a 2017 2910D we had purchased last September for a gently-used 2019 3100.. The interior arrangement of the 2910D was not quite what we needed as "seniors" and the 3100 had just arrived at the factory in Elkhart We completed the sale the day before the factory (and Indiana) locked down.We had previously downsized from a 42' diesel pusher we full-timed in for 6 years and had for a total of 15 years. We left Indiana immediately after the PC purchase (after seeing some family in Ft Wayne briefly) and returned to South Dakota where we self-quarantined for 14 days. We hope to travel back to Indiana and also Maryland (more family) later this year
We also were hoping to make the 2020 PC Rally in our own backyard (50 miles away in Spearfish) but the impending birth of our great-granddaughter in Indiana in late September and the coronavirus impact could change all that.
As i just posted in General Discussion, the factory told me today a new owner's manual is almost ready.
Question: Our unit is 50 Amp (2 A/Cs..wow!) and supposedly has an onboard surge protector. We have always used an external surge protector. I am trying to figure out where the onboard surge readout is - up front on the "EMS" panel? And where actually is the protector? We always use a simple plug-in voltage readout but I like to see the surge readout/status too. So, for now, I also have an external surge connected at our house (we have a FHU connection).
Thanks,
Hank & Joyce Whitney
