I am also ignorant of how the inverter works on that coach, mine does not have one. Does the inverter supply power to a couple select outlets, or can it supply for the 'whole coach' just like shore power or generator?
Our 2007 2350 outlets are configured as follows.
Outlets that work off all 3 power sources, the inverter-on-batteries, the generator, and shore power
- galley cabinet (just below the counter top)
- above passenger seat that supports the TV and stereo
- inside the shirt closet (for a bedroom TV)
- bathroom GFI outlet
- outdoor weather-protected outlet located to the left of the entry door
outlets that work "Only" off the generator or shore power
- outlet behind the microwave oven
- outlet in the front-most dinette bench under the dinette table
- outdoor outlet behind the fridge access panel
When running the generator or on shore power, all outlets get power directly from them, NOT through the inverter.
Your 2006 model year was a transition year. Mid or late year 2006, Phoenix replaced the one-battery converter that you have, to a two-battery 2000 watt Tripp-Lite converter/inverter combo unit. Our 2007 has that setup which changed again around 3 years later with separate converter and inverter. Adding to my confusion, Phoenix changed brands of equipment sometime thereafter. So when people on this forum discuss their inverters or converters, I get confused because of the different brands and configurations. I learned to stay out of those conversations because all I was doing was confusing people along with myself. I can help people with a Tripp-Lite system, but not anything more recent.
CLICK HERE to review a current-day Tripp-Lite inverter. I think it would be a direct replacement for ours.
Here is our Tripp-Lite inverter installed under the coat closet.

It is covered with this door with ventilation grill.
The door originally had 4 hinges for child safety reasons. I removed 2 and added a latch.
