General Discussion / Re: Macerator Hose Attachment

Problem solved. After chatting with Keith at PC Service, we determined my unit has the Thetford Turbo (I think the 600) with a screw-on "Marine Kit Cap" fitting to attach a garden-type hose to. Apparently not all the PC units have this. He is sending me one for about the same price as Amazon. The fitting is black and screws onto the grey handle. It likely worked its way loose over the past 5 years. I only really need it if I want to dump an extra distance like at home where I have a 75 foot hose just for reaching my sewer cleanout.

We had an edge pulling away from the trim. I use double sided Gorilla tape. So far it has held fine.

Love the PC but the standard beds are too short.
I believe you could get the twin bed on the driver side a lot longer but it would require special ordering model 2552 without the slide-out.  This would imensely increase over-all wall space on that side to accomodate a dinette that utilizes the angled transition wall, maybe delete the pantry, and shift the fridge forward.

The PC Super C will be interesting to see for sure.  Recently I inquired about using a PC to stay at a resort near Hilton Head.  They only allow Class A, Class C & Super C.  I sent them a picture of a PC.  They said it was a B+ and not allowed into the resort.  I do not want a CLass A.  Most Class C’s are over loaded with multiple slides.  Super C could work as wiife wants over head bunk and I want better ride. But the deciding factor may be the price. I am also not to eager for a diesel engine.   Love the PC but the standard beds are too short.  I need one that is extended 6 inches.  I would also want liquid springs.  However, that PC is very hard to find as a reasonable price.  RV sellers seem to think their RVs should appreciate instead of depreciate.  Haha

I don't know what to make of an F-series PC.  People complain about the difficulty transfering from the driver seat into the cabin on the E-series.  What will an F-series be like?  Maybe it's a lot easier.

If it is about "load", it seems a lot easier to just install commercial grade E-series tires on the heaviest of PCs and call it a day.

Maybe its about offering a "diesel" and 4x4 without going "Quigley."  Maybe Ford has plans to discontine the E-series.  This is interesting nonetheless.

Tina has informed me that PC will be building a Super C:

We are in the process of prototyping a Super C… it was under way last year, was put on hold, but is back on…. It is on the Ford F Series chassis. The first floorplan is a rear bath room , murphy bed floorplan.

So if anyone is interested contact Tina at: tina@phoenixusarv.com

General Discussion / Re: PC Factory Moved

In the June newsletter Tina explains why they moved:

The new facility will offer opportunities to expand our service center and offer service customers a more comfortable lobby to relax while they are visiting for service on their coach. With full gated parking, it will also allow us to provide greater security to service units that
are left with us for long-term renovations. Additionally, the production area features a layout that will be more efficient in supporting our current production needs.

Providing service to PC owners is really needed.  The factory is a trusted resource that owners can use to get it done right.  Probably be fairly profitable too.

I think it was original.  My 2019 2552 had the same piece as delivered.  Probably available from Thetford, somewhere online, but I've never had occasion to look for one.

FWIW When we were at the factory for service in early May we were told they did not need all the space they had. These moves often happen due to cost considerations e.g. leasing.
