You think that is bad?  You should have tried the late 80's model years.  My parents had a 1987 Econoline van.  That was so much worse.  I suppose it depends on where you are coming from.  I do agree with you still.  Ford could improve there some more.

Certainly, but I wouldn't be surprised if all but the shorter length cruisers have the same wheelbase.
The real issue is how far the back end is swinging out when turning in a tight circle. The lock might be limited but weight can also cause problems.
I used to deliver fruit & veg in Kent, UK. When fully loaded the wheel lock on the truck wasn't enough to get around some small roundabouts (traffic circles) without going over the curb all the way around. As it got lighter it would tighten up the turning circle. The swing out was atrocious though, especially after lifting one of the rear axles (which I could do when it was light enough).

Our 29 1/2' 2007 Phoenix Cruiser is the finest of the four motor homes we have owned and easy to drive for both of us.

We had a wonderful class A, wide-body diesel pusher and we are just as comfortable in our Phoenix Cruiser.  We spend five months as a snowbird and get along just fine.

Our full-body paint job attracts people who wish to see the coach whereever we go.

Kermit and his staff are just superb.  Always ready to answer questions or to make changes.

We could not be more pleased with the quaity of our Phoenix Cruiser motor home.

We have an 06' PC 2100 purchased new in November of 07.  The limits of our garage are 21' long and under 10' high and this unit fits with an inch to spare both ways:)
We unsized a bit from our Class B Great West Classic Supreme.. thats the one with the high top.
SO far, we love the PC and it provides the perfect combination of enough room, while still small enough to go, and park, nearly anywhere.
Most of our use is travelling from Illinois to New Orleans or to the Philadelphia area where we stay in it while visiting inlaws and children.
We have ahs a few minor problems, and have made a few minor changes, but overall really like this unit.
Handles sooooo much better than the Great West.

I hear you regarding the garage limitation.  Same story here, but with a 25' deep garage and 10 foot high door.  With the 2350 parked inside, I have just enough room to suck in my gut to get around the spare tire cover.  Fortunately the RV is along the far wall, with rarely a need to get around it.  Oh yes, we ordered the RV new, with the ladder and roof rack NOT installed.  That helped in getting around.  That hardware is in my attic.

I have about 2" from the top of a/c to the door opening.....it just makes it inside.

My wife Julie and I are wannabe Phoenix Cruiser owners. We used to own a Tioga, but wanted something smaller.  I am hoping for a break through purchase before this summer.  I just wanted to say hi to all of you and especially the Jarands as we also live in Bloomington-Normal and would love to see their Cruiser someday.  My e-mail is t.pogue@comcast.net if you think that would be possible.  It might just be the final nudge to get my wife to sign off on the deal.  Hope you all enjoy your travels this year.  Tim and Julie, Normal, Il.

Name is Baker.  We have an Allegro Bay, 37DB, class A.  My husband isn't suppose to drive long distances so we need to downsize to something I can drive.  Trying to decide between the 2551 and that new 31 that there isn't even pictures of yet.  These MH's have twin beds with bath in the back.  Do any of you have that type of floorplan and do you find the beds big enough?

Does anyone in the Northeast have a PC we could see.  We are considering buying the 2551 or 3100. We are located in Connecticut and I don't think there are any dealers here.  (We are in Danbury now, right on the NY border).

We just purchased a 2010 Phoenix Cruiser 2551S, which is still in production. We visited the factory and were impressed with what we saw.  We are moving from a 31 ft class A to this one. The class A was nice, but a handful to drive. We usually travel long distances, and wanted the wife to be comfortable driving, too. Ron Dittmer and the forum were great sources of information. We first started looking at Phoenix Cruisers 6 years ago!

We are "UP SIZING" from a five years of cruising  on a thirty-five foot sailboat to a PC 2400.  If you eliminate the sailboat's engine/ cockpit and forepeak (used as garage) there was only about twelve feet of living space.  Since "swallowing the anchor" last year we discovered our  "walk about" bug just wont go away; too many places are calling. We researched MHs for years and are happy to have discovered the Phoenix Cruiser.  The 2400 is just right for our six months a year traveling plans and fits in our driveway. Delivery will be in late June (hopefully) and we plan extensive Midwest and New England touring through the fall.  As the leaves change we will head south to our Padre Island, TX home.  Remember there is a window that cruising sailors use traveling south: stay ahead of the snow and behind the mosquitoes.

we purchased a 05 2551 in Texas in Late Feb 09 and traveled to the Rally in Albuquerque and found the beds quite comfortable and large enough..But we are 'little people'... I'm 5'6" and my wife is 5'2". We absolutely love our 2551. We get an average of 10.8 mpg w/o a tow..
