Thanks for the invite Judi... did see that there were single days available but not one that likes to get settled in and then move.  Hope to catch up with you and other PCers down the road...

A belated welcome Joey and Shirley .... I am a little slow on catching all the blogs from each section.

This is our second Phoenix Cruiser 2350 and we purchased both through Palm RV .... they are a great bunch.

I think that you will LOVE,LOVE,LOVE your Phoenix Cruiser, We were stupid to get rid of our last one, but happy the new owners love her and now we have another new one to enjoy almost identical to the last one  :)

Best of luck and hope to see you around.

We ordered Sunlit so we won't have twins like I thought but we can still camp next to each other and tell people they are cousins. Ours just doesn't have that beautiful bronze tan yours does.

Hi,
I'm a long time camper, did the whole progression of tent-pop up-small travel trailer-large travel travel trailer. The kids got old and involved with sports and things and I finally sold the trailer. I've got away from camping for about ten years and then decided I missed it. A few years ago I bought a used 34' class A and after a couple years decided it was too big, traded it in for a 2350 Sprinter. Ended up trading that in for a 2552 and love it so far. The Sprinter just wasn't right for me. I've already done some upgrades since I got it in November getting it ready for this year's camping.

Welcome jampodd,

I grew up first tent camping then popup trailer camping with my parents.  Grown & married with our first child born on our 5th anniversary and I said no way we are doing without a motor home.  It's been a house-on-wheels since.  The first MH a Toyota-Mirage owned 24 years, our PC-2350 owned 6 years and counting.

The 2552 is extremely popular, maybe #1 seller.  I think the most popular sell-off is the 2350 for people can't tollerate getting in and out from the bed.  I wonder if the old 2950 with rear bedroom, had a rear double/queen bed turned sideways, would also have been too difficult for most.  I thought it would have made  a good arraingement.

Ron,
The bed was part of it, the other was the diesel. Never had one before and decided the gas was better for me. I just finished making provisions to turn the twin beds into a full size. Makes getting to the rear bath more difficult but I figured it would only be set up at night.

Hi all,
I'm new here....hoping to buy a PC 2100 in the next couple days.  I'm headed out Mon to look at it and drive it, hope it measures up to the pics.  I rented a Class C 25' from cruiseamerica last year and it was just too big.  And the width was even more disconcerting on the narrow roads I was on in Northern AZ and Southern UT.  I went to the other extreme last month and rented a minivan with a bed & camp kitchen but no shower/toilet.  It was fun but basically just a rolling tent.  I'm hoping the PC turns out to be just right.

In-Touch with you Gail!  You'll have to report back how it went for you.  Remember what I said about potential handling issues, and not let that get in the way of a good choice otherwise.  There are remedies.

Gail,

Welcome to the forum and the world of Phoenix Cruiser.  I know what you mean about the handling of certain units.  Don't be afraid to try a little bit larger PC.  Compared to the "regular" Class C's the PC are better in handling.  We have owned 2 Phoenix Cruisers (a 2008 2350 and now a 2012 2551).  I did not like driving the 2350 at all.  The front end seemed to wander all over the road.  The only thing we did to fix the handling on that unit is added Bilstein shocks to the front end and a rear trac bar.  The 2008 2350 PC then drove like an SUV.  No problem for me to drive it even in high winds.
We have done nothing to the 2012 2551.  Absolutely love the unit.  We will be putting new shocks on it now that it has over 10,000 miles on it.  Out of the factory it drives like your typical pickup truck.  The shocks are not a necessity yet but the Bilstein shocks are Heavy duty compared to the factory originals so will be adding those in the not too distant future.
If you do buy a unit and have handling problems do some research and change one thing at atime.  We found very good online info on the back ending swaying on the 2350 and that is why we added the rear trac bar.  That took care of all of our handling issues.  If it is a used unit note the year of the chassis.  That may also determine what changes you may need to make.  Remember, there were some improvements made by Ford between 2007 and 2008 and that is why we only made minor changes on our 2008.

Thanks all!

It is a 2008, the owner said his was one of the chassis where Ford added front sway bars if that's the right term.  We'll see.  I'm really looking forward to checking it out and hope it all lives up to the ad/photos.  I'm definitely excited!!

Actually he got it backwards.  In 2008, Ford added a "Rear" sway bar to the E350 chassis on that PC-2100.  The front bar has always been.  Hopefully the smaller diameter Ford bars will be enough for satisfied handling.

I look forward to your report Gail.  Well wishes!
