Water leaks in under passenger side dinnett seat on PC 2100

Found a lot of water under the dinette seat behind the passenger seat. When we bought our PC in Elkhart in May we were told that they had fixed a leak but this was a lot of water.  Has anyone else had this problem

I recall some PCs of recent years were getting significant rain water leaking in, wetting the area behind the passenger seat.  Water got in where the power awning motor wires pass through the wall there.  I am not certain, but I think the wires pass through the wall from inside the awning's front vertical channel which is just behind the passenger seat.  I don't recall of the reliable remedy, but there is one.  I am sure someone with first-hand knowledge will provide specifics.  It was a hot topic here for a short while.

You might get your answer more quickly if you change your title to "HELP - Water Might Be Getting In From Awning Front Vertical Channel".

Also check the caulk seal along the wing wall. If it pops, water tracks along the wing as you drive and streams in. Have you called Phoenix to ask where the leak was that they fixed?

Will call the factory this week to find more info. Thanks for your help,  did notice a small opening in that caulk line that you mentioned, sealed that dried out the carpet. Will keep an eye on it . Also as Ron indicated I will check where the awning wires enter . After I check I will  wet her down if it doesn't rain  hope that fixes it. IT'S IN a location where you will never know it's wet unless you remove the dinnett seat.  Thanks again will follow up..

Silicone sealer all around wires and entryway and sealed again.  Ran a bead down the flare seam ,checked the roof area no seams, no obvious areas were water can enter.  But last night's rain Wet Again !,,
Will install longer drain spouts (ordered) . And will call  Elkhart.... any other suggestions will be appreciated...

Oh that is a bummer.  You followed our advise and it all was for nothing.   

Volkemon did an extensive write-up on water entering under the front running/marker lights and working its way down behind the transition panels. Check for telltale stains or dampness  inside the ps overhead cabinets.

LOL.. no I didnt!      But thatns for the credit. I did the TV mount up there, and it was water free.

The shop I got it from thought that was the leak... and even replaced one of the markers with a mismatch...and still didnt fix the water leak(s) from around the windshield. 

On mine the floor/door leak was tricky. The seam between the walls and lower side panels were not sealed, and the water went in behind the trim piece. Then it leaked all over the pass side floor, and filled the stairwell.  I happened to notice it when I was watching the 'drool' lines of white from the gel coat flow down the side...and noticed the pattern coming out from under the trim was MUCH different than what was going in...and WHY was it going in?!??!?

Pulled off the trim to find the seam between the wall and floor was never sealed, and funneling water in. OW!!  Put a big bead of 'urethane in the seam, put the trim back on, no more leaks since then. 

Found it.   Pics you want are page 2.  WOW.  I forgot all that...um....FUN.     Been leak free ever since, and the coach smells great after being parked now.

Now let me tell you where I found the  leak . On the PC 2100 the furnace grille just aft. Of the passenger side dinnett seat , the outside frame not the grille door  that screws 0ff, the outer frame has a seal completely around the frame it was splitting and separated just enough to let water seep in  and run down the wire bundle at the base of the floor under the dinnett table through tunnel step  and find a  spot under the seat carpet that held the wetness.  The Proof: after the carpet was dried  and lifted away using a hair dryer making certain  everything was dry  , using  dry paper towels around the wire bundle and surrounding areas,  everything was dry.  Now went outside the coach and sprayed water around the grille frame. Wamo water seeped in wetting the paper towels running along the wire bundle to the carpet area .Cleaned and dried it again . Then the next day after everything was good and dry , resealed the frame neatly  and completely around using silicone sealer in my case black in color to match exterior  finally letting all dry for another day.  The true test with the paper towels in place,  saturated the PC exterior heavily repeatedly more than any rain can do . Checking cabinets under everything interior and paper towels  dry ,dry

Yes, that was us with all the water damage Volkemon posted for.  We just name changed shortly after from Peace Be the Journey.  It looks like you figured it out but I detailed the many areas of water damage. We've been away from the RV for three months and will be reunited Monday.  Hoping all the attempts and replacements have held up and all the water damage fixes worked.  Fingers crossed.  Glad you found the cause of your leak!

I had a similar leak on my outdoor shower fixture that puddled on the bathroom cabinet shelf.

I enjoyed this post. Not meaning  that I enjoyed your problem, but it was following up on the original post and keeping us informed  of your troubleshooting , resulting in sucess. The thoughtful input of other PC owners is what make the forum worthy for all of us.
