Our main leaks were the two seals that seperate the cab from the body.  Both sides were what caused most of the damage.  We also had a leak coming in from the slide which we fixed as well.  Sorry for the delayed and short answer.  We lost our house in Hurricane Sally a few days ago BUT the Cruiser has no damage at all.  So it can be tough when it needs to be!  😊

Sorry, was shrinking pictures to fit.  We've gone with a different theme inside, compared to the original.  😊

Hi Will,

Sorry for the delay, we haven't been on here for awhile.  Luckily we haven't had anything major go down since that issue when we bought it, knock on wood.  Okay, so we first sealed inside with silicone.  Then we used bleach, Kilz and Flex Seal.  We used 5200 Marine Grade on the outside.  We used 1 by 1 frame cut to fit from cab to wall, a lot of angles.  We also got rid of one of the cabinets on passenger side and table.  We used zinc coated self toppers to secure the framing.  We used R-30 stuffed insulation.  We covered that with Lauan plywood and finished it with ship lap cut flush to fit from thr cab trim to the wall.  I think I covered everything?!  Let me know if you have any more questions.  I understand the POS comment when this happens but its honestly been an awesome RV since we fixed it.

Good luck,
Sarah

Thank you Volkemon, again!  Just got done changing out the back marker lights.  We had the same issue, all were filled with water.  Thanks for the info on replacing them, ordered some extra as well just in case.   tymote

Yes, that was us with all the water damage Volkemon posted for.  We just name changed shortly after from Peace Be the Journey.  It looks like you figured it out but I detailed the many areas of water damage. We've been away from the RV for three months and will be reunited Monday.  Hoping all the attempts and replacements have held up and all the water damage fixes worked.  Fingers crossed.  Glad you found the cause of your leak!

You'll be shocked to know that I seek out your posts.  You've been a great help during our renovations, I'm sure a lot of people would agree.  Thanks for the tire info, I will look into those and Hankook.  I had heard the Ford is now using Hankook instead of Michelin.  I appreciate the info and hope your summer is going well.  We're about to get started on round two of renovations, I'll try not to bother you with tons of questions.  Good hearing from you.  tymote

Thank you, I've been looking at that site.  It's just confusing because Michelin which came with the PC didn't make the list.  The Sumitomo Encounter HT which has the highest rating, the first review talked about how horrible it handles. So I'm eyeballing the Bridgestone as of now which were mentioned in this thread.  I read a review of someone who loved them on their 40ft trailer.  I'll let everyone of course know what we end up with and how they handle.

Thanks again,
Sarah

Those do seem very nice, definitely in the running.  I'm struggling to find any reviews of them though, I'll keep looking.  Volkemon have you gotten new tires yet or still all good?   hithere

Thank you all for the input, will go back and look at the threads mentioned.  We definitely don't want a rougher ride, was hoping for a bit of the opposite.  I have chronic vertigo so the smoother the better, no earthquake feeling please.  We aren't loaded super heavy, just wanted something that would last and provide a comfortable ride for all seasons.  Just wanted the best bang for our buck since buying seven tires never seems to be budget friendly.  Thanks again!

Hello!  I know new tires have been discussed in previous threads but it's been awhile.  We have a 2006 2551 with a 450...Has anyone changed tires to something new and like them better?  I feel as if there might be something bigger and better, something not for an SUV or light truck?!   It's time to replace ours regardless and any input would be appreciated.  We've been saving up for a bit and would just like to get some great tires for full-timing.  Thanks and safe travels!

Congrats!!!  Sorry I'm late, hope you're enjoying your new to you PC. We also have a 2006 2551, so I of course think that's the best one.  😜😊 ;)

General Discussion / Re: How to do deal with dangerous weather?

As a person from the Midwest and who spent last night in Lawton, Oklahoma, I will just say.... If you can't out run the area in the RV, leave it.  The weather lately is more intense and unpredictable and it's just not worth it.  We spent last night in a local friends brick house, just to be safe.   The RV ended up fine and we lucked out.  A lot of the campgrounds in the Midwest also have storm shelters.  Otherwise I agree with everything that has been said above.. Just know also when weather seasons are and try to plan staying at them accordingly.  Such as not be in tornado alley (like us) during peaks seasons such as April-June.  Great weather app is good though, there's usually a pretty good heads up notice.  ☺️

Thank you, Sailors35.  I had read in several forums that 5200 was great to use, why I went with it.  That's great information and I will look into SCS2000 for my future uses since I already used 5200.
