Mine broke at the rally last year. Easy fix. Went to the hardware store and bought a piece of bar aluminum, 1/8x 1 1/2x 15” . I used 7 1/2’ sheet metal screws to screw the bar to the bottom of the door. (pre drill your holes). Drilling the hole for the metal pin to go thru is the only tricky part. It is APPROXIMATELY 1/4” from the outside and left corner on the aluminum bar. The bar DOES sit crooked to the bottom of the door. Looking down at it the left(pin) side of the bar sticks out enough for the bar to swing freely without obstruction. The right corner of the bar is flush with the door bottom. So you do see a tapering of the bar as you look down.
This bar now supports almost the entire bottom of the door and is stronger than when new. If you want you can paint the bar black, but I still haven’t got around to that yet.
This was a super easy job, on the road with just a drill, a bit and a screw driver.
I can’t imagine what the shipping costs on a door would be, let alone the price of a door.
