Loose screws on door latch mechanism
« on: September 22, 2020, 04:00:42 pm »
When I closed the RV door I heard something fall and found a screw had fallen into the doorstep. I found it had fallen out of the door latch mechanism (indoor side) and the other 2 screws were very loose as well.

This is just a note for something to add to your periodic checklist.  :)

We bought a used 2015 and had the same problem. They kept coming loose and sometimes we couldn’t get into the coach.  Used locktight and they seem to be holding.  Yesterday I couldn’t get in again.  I found one of the two latch bolts was partially unscrewed and pushing against the jam.

I had trouble with the two screws located on the bottom of the threshold.  CLICK HERE to read through my experience.
