Paul’s is the (I think) supplier for PC. I’m quite sure any new products will be ok. Also I think PC only offers leather now?
If you have a modest skill level to remove the seat and swap seat skins, I would call Pauls Seating at 574-522-0630 or email them at paulsseatinginc@frontier.com and ask them for a quote for replacement seat skins for your model and year PC. Pauls might have your exact PC on-file so provide both your chassis and PC VINs. They should be able to provide an accurate quote on exact replacement skins, both the color and style.
If I were dealing with the degrading vinyl, I would go with top grain leather on all seating surfaces to assure the problem never repeated. I would not trust China-provided vinyl seating material again. They may fix their process, but later play their switch-a-roo game again to save themselves a little money. Then you are right back where you started with more lost money and time.
I learned that switching seat skins on regular vehicles is not that hard. I've done it on a 1999 Corvette, a 2006 Jeep Liberty, a 2007 Pontiac Solstice, and a 2007 Saturn Sky. I have never done it on a PC, but I would think it is not much different. If you have reservations about doing it, order the material for your worst seat (and it's mate if that is the case) and give it a try. If you are overwhelmed, then take your PC, or just the seats to a local upholstery shop for the installation.
