I would suspicion the vent in the bath is drawing in odors from the vent line, that on my unit is about 18" in front of the vent.  If the vent is not closed securely it tends to raise some and more so depending on the wind direction going down the road. The skylite dome probably helps in that regard too, creating flow paths to the vent cover as you travel.

As lghjr alluded to, do you travel with the bathroom window or roof vent open a crack?  The sewer gas going out the roof vent might be whipping around, getting sucked into the bathroom through an opening.  It is a common problem with RVs in general.  People make the mistake of keeping something open to let in fresh air when they should be locking down the room.  If you normally leave something open when in transit, close it all up and see if your problem goes away.  Also make sure your shower and sink traps are full of water.

The instinct is to open something when the opposite should be practiced.  We learned that ourselves.  Yes the bath gets nice and hot too, but at least it doesn't stink of sewer gas.

I have louvered rain covers over all my vents so I can safely leave the vents open somewhat while travelling down the road.  My recollection is that the ceiling vents all have the open portion to the rear as do the rain covers.  This mean the airflow over the top is forced to take a longer path over the vents which increases its speed.  We all know from high school physics that Bernoulli's Principle indicates that causes a lower pressure in that airstream (why an airplane wing has lift).  That should result in drawing air out of the camper, not sucking it into the camper.  We've never really had any problems from bad odors in the bathroom as long as we are very careful about keeping deodorant in the tank and making sure we have a water seal in the commode.

Jerry you are 100% correct but if you are sucking the air out of the motorhome where is the air coming from. If you have the windows closed and do not have enough water in all the P-traps and toilet the air might be getting sucked out of the holding tanks. Most of us old timers know to make sure we have enough water there but a newbie might not. So put more water in the P-traps or open a window up front.

Being and old pilot myself, I would guess that traveling down the road the pressure at the vent is higher than anywhere inside the RV.  I would also guess that is why my hand "flys" when I stick it out the window at 60 mph. And why the vent(s) will vibrate and open unassisted from time to time.  As I remember it that is why the static port goes on the outside of the plane too.

Hi all, and yep am new to this forum.  Don't have a PC yet, but am looking for a late model 2350 on the Sprinter chassis. Would appreciate if anyone know of any available.   Have a Rialta now, and love the small size, but think it is time to upgrade a bit. This looks to be a great forum.

There's a new 2350 Sprinter that I saw at the Good Sam Rally in Phoenix that is really nice, and if you call Stuart (he's there) tomorrow (Saturday)--he will treat you fairly--and you'll have a new pc at a reasonable price.

 hithere. We have been RVing for a long time starting with a pick-up camper in 1968.  Then 2 different pop-ups, then 2 different class A motor homes.  Our current is a 2006 38' Adventurer.  We are ready to downsize.  In the current FMCA magazine we read about the Phoenix Cruiser and was impressed with the model 2910T.  The website is very impressive .  We full-timed for 6 years and really enjoyed the traveling.  We volunteered at the Escapee's Care Center 3 times. That was fun and we had a very busy schedule. If I can get a decent trade-in we will have a new Phoenix Cruiser. I have read most of the posts as a guest and have learned a lot of good stuff.

Welcome from another couple of Cruiser want-to-be's. We're also downsizing but from a 25 ft. Lance Camper/Dodge truck rig to a 2100, which we hope to put in the works in Elkhart next month. We've been following this Forum for quite a while now and as you've seen the members are wonderful and very helpful.

Welcome to the Forum--We have had two PC's, a 2010 2350 Sprinter and a 2011 2551. The 2910 is a very nice unit. If you decide to procede, you will not be disappointed with the product or Phoenix USA. All, from Kermit (the owner) to Stuart as well as the folks that build the motorhomes are super to work with.

JimWert and Paul/Marilyn,

Just make sure if you special order any model, first ping current owners.  Some of us wished we made small special requests that can only be considered during the construction of the unit.  Once built, it's too late.  None are detrimental......just striving for perfection that is unique to each owner.

The factory is "Extremely" good about special requests that do not require re-engineering, without gouging you on the price.  I am often surprised that even when some re-engineering is involved, they don't "stiff you", most often done at cost.  They are really great to work with.....this cannot be emphasised enough.

Ron, thanks for the tip (and all the other tips we've read that you've already shared, they're great!). We already have a list of wants and don't wants based on what we've read in the Forum, and we've read just about every post on the Forum going back to the beginning. We've considered the 2100 Stuart has available now but it has several things we're not interested in so we're going to stick to our plan of going up for a visit to Elkhart and if we still like what we see, order one with the features we want (unless Stuart makes an offer on the existing one we can't refuse  roflol ).

This is a great forum as since I have joined, (little over 2 wks),  I have used this forum to help me decide on a unit for PC to build for me. And today, it certainly was a "Good Friday", as Stuart and I came up with a package deal that was good for the both of us.  I am getting a 2350 that I designed "green" and he is getting my beloved Rialta.  PC is a good company to do business with as you can "roll your own". Design a coach that you want.  Mine is considered a "green" design as it has no AC, Gen but has TWO battery boxes to store 4 6volt golf cart batteries.  (My wife and I do mostly dry camping, and hate generators, so I will add 340 watts of solar panels on the roof when I get it, and that will take care of our power needs.)  We are also adding our own 12v 24" TV and no need for microwave oven. (12v TV eliminates the need to run the inverter, which isn't all that efficient).

Again... so far... am very pleased with the cooperation I have gotton from  Stuart at PC.

Hello my wife and I are new to the site and for her rv's, we are looking for one to see the grandkids in Fla. sometime. It has been years since I have been in one, ( the '60's) and my dad built it out of a old chevy van.
By what I have seen so far PC's are at the top of the list with what is standard on them, and by what I have read on here there is just a few things we would like to change. We would like a 2551 but with a queen bed in the back and the bathroom split where the two beds are now and maybe a in motion sat tv dish. We are both disabled, her with 2 heart attacks, and I hurt my back in the Army and am rated at 70% from the VA.
