Greetings from Two Harbors, Minnesota!
My wife, Karen, and I are brand new to RVing and are excited to begin traveling in our "new to us" 2014 2552. We were blessed to purchase our unit from Julie and Staff - and are thankful for their kindness and generosity in sharing details on it's operation and maintenance (over 4+ hours) prior to our trip back home. This unit was Julie's "baby" and her care and attention to detail is evident as it is in great shape. In fact, her mechanic shared that the unit was "meticulous" - a term more commonly heard from salesmen, not mechanics!
I've been researching RVs for the past 2-3 years and have been helped greatly by this forum. With the help from many on this site - notably responses from Jatrax, Ron Dittmer, Mike (?), and Keelhauler - I put together our ultimate build "wish list". Interestingly, this unit checked all the major boxes (except full body paint)...and then some! We really wanted the HWH levelers, dual sofa, euro chair, insulated glass, back-up monitor, cherry cabinets, wood floor, and second fan. In addition, we received some options that we likely wouldn't have purchased but they certainly will be useful - bedroom tv, satellite dish, dvd w/surround sound, mirror w/compass & temp, auto start for generator, brake controller, mud flap...and yes, the central vacuum. Julie and Staff also included many useful RV item plus a Thule bike rack!
Thanks, too, to Wayne and Jeanne (Minneapolis) and Wayne and Diane (Duluth) for welcoming us to their homes to see their Phoenix Cruisers - the first ones we actually saw in person. We're finding that PC owners are a friendly and helpful group.
Our travel plan bucket list includes future trips to Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon and Nova Scotia.
As importantly, we welcome any PC owners to come and visit if you are in the Duluth, Minnesota area. We live just up the shore of Lake Superior near Two Harbors and would love to visit. We have so much to learn!
