I don't know what thermostat is in your 2004, but the manual thermostat in our 2007 2350 is pictured
HERE and we like it a lot. It is simple, straight forward, and not reliant on a battery nor a pair of reading glasses. Given it's placement over our bed, I can adjust the temp in the middle of the night just by "feel", in total darkness, while half asleep, perfect!

At home we switched from the old round manual Honeywell thermostat to a digital one. I'd pitch that digital thing in a heart beat except then I'll need to patch & repaint the wall. It will be swapped back as part of the next paint job. The problem we struggle with our digital one at home is that it is hard to re-program the default temp.
Sorry for not addressing your question, but I figured it would be okay to provide our experience with the manual one.
