For our first time we were there we stayed at Eby's Pines campground. Just down the road from the factory, kinda out in the country. There were only a few level sites. For the second second time we stayed at Shipshewana South. Most of the sites were level and very wide. It is very close to the Amish market and shopping. Lots of good places to eat. It took about 20 minutes to get to the factory but was well worth the drive. It allowed me to check out how the PC drove and handled. My wife listened for wind noise and any rattles that should not be there.
I would strongly suggest you camp where there are full hookups in order to check out all the features and functions of the new motorhome. Without full hookups, how will you know that the dump valves work? Open and close every door, drawer, roof vent, and all outside compartments. Turn on every light. Take an electric plug tester and plug it into every plug both while hooked up to shore power and when not hooked up, turn on the inverter and check the plugs in the wings, under the kitchen sink and the outside plug. If you get the jacks, make sure you put them down even if you don't need them. I drove three hours in a storm to Indianapolis before I camped and found out they forgot to put them on. I had to drive back the next day. Try the TV, DVD (take a DVD with you when you go to pick it up), the surround sound and if you get a satellite dish, that also. I know that is a lot to check out and may take more than one day. So I would suggest if you have the time to spend two nights at the campground. You can also tour the Amish stuff if you get done checking things out the first day.
Let us know how it goes and what you think of this life style. and most of all, have fun.
