Wife & I went there in 2014. Once was enough for her, I would like to go back.
Have fun, and a lot of walking through the tents and spending money

my wife and I are hopefully leaving by next week. Planning on checking out some caves in west Virginia and crystal mines in Arkansas. When we get to Phoenix I'm going to check out a motorcycle dolly that Mountain Master makes. That way there we can take our Goldwing with us. We should be in Quartzsite by the last week in January.

We have been going to the Quartzsite RV Show/Flea Market for the past five years and will be there again this year.  It is amazing to find all those things that I didn't know I had to have!  We are leaving our home in the Northern Sierra Nevada tomorrow and spending the next seven weeks in various places in Arizona.

On the lookout for other PCs,  Bob

The Quartzsite event looks like it could be fun.

To you who have been there before, how do they accommodate for so many RVers?  Do you boondock in a huge parking lot?  Is dump-&-refill a monumental task?  Assuming overnight parking is encouraged, do they charge for it and entrance to the event?  Is there a camp store to purchase basics?

It looks like it has the potential of being a very chaotic experience.  I am imagining a thousand RVs of all sorts, packed like rats with generators running to the tune of insanity.  But the event is very successful so my imagination must be running wild.

Ron, we went several years ago. Camping is on BLM land, i.e. desert sage brush with some roads bulldozed through.

If I could figure out how to include a picture in this post, it would be right here.

There is a dump site, like a campground has, and in those days there was water available. We had to pay upfront for 14 days, about $40 I think, then just find a spot and set up camp. The vendors are in a tent city next to the camping area. There is also a village nearby with more shopping.

Joe R, I'm pretty sure a Goldwing will be too heavy for your PC, at least for the hitch which has a 500 lb. limit.

While checking out Google earth and finding a handful of rv parks. Then looking for more info on yellow pages.com there was a list of 30 rv listings. Some with full hookups and some others that provided rv services.
jfcaramagno,  www.montainmaster.net website shows a picture of the dolly under hitch loader dolly. As the saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words. I probably would take that many words in trying to describe it.

I think this might be a better link to what I think you were referring to...

Ah, it's a small trailer. Of course that will easily carry a Goldwing without overloading the hitch. Go for it.

Stop by the Quartzite Yacht Club. Purchase a membership that includes a certificate, wallet card, tee shirt, hat and boat flag.  Fun place to visit.  Plan to visit Q in mid Feb.

I would have been on the road today, But a friend of mine past away so I am going to his wake and service tomorrow afternoon. Planning on leaving Thursday morning, I had a route all planed out going south to Hagerstown Md. then going through west Virginia, Kentucky, Tenn., And heading west on I40. Just my luck All winter in the north east there was no snow. Now there is a big storm brewing and headed up the Ohio valley to the north east Friday and Saturday, and I would be driving right though it. Now I have to plan on taking I80 in Wilkes Barre and head west from there to St Louis then head south. Looking at the weather forecasts for the big city's along I80 it looks like I'll skirt the storm. Hope to get to Quartzsite before all the vendors leave.

We did get out of the north east before the storm. Glad I changed the route we missed all the snow. the first couple of nights stayed at walmarts. just crossed into New Mexico staying in Tucumcari and finally got wifi now that its warmer we can slow down and see the country. maybe a couple of more days we will be in Quartzsite.

Excellent! When you listed Hagerstown as a stop, I thought it would have been fun to drive over and meet you since it's only a half hour from here so I was disappointed your route changed BUT you made a very wise choice. Glad your drive worked out OK. Enjoy Quartzite
