Don't quote me, but I believe the Phoenix Cruiser as we know it (a class B+) the first year production was 1998. If that is true, I am sure very few were made in the early years, slowly increasing production year over year.
I never read anywhere that any given calendar year exceeded 100 units. One thing certain, during our travels, seeing another PC is a very rare sight.
What I find particularly interesting, is how little the Phoenix Cruiser has changed from 1998 to this day. There were two changes of structural significance that took place during the middle of the 2004 model year when Phoenix greatly improved the main entry door to the one we know today, and the rear outer wall changed from a panel with seamed corners, to the molded version with integrated spare tire, later modified without one.
