General Discussion / Re: Anyone ever remove decals from your rv?
« on: April 13, 2025, 07:31:26 pm »
Yes there are but they want close to $3500 to redo them. I want to paint them on, decals don't hold up in the winter mountains.

General Discussion / Anyone ever remove decals from your rv?

We have a 2006 Phoenix Cruiser 2551. We bought it in 2019 and had the decals replaced. It looked brand new, but the snow and freezing temps have cracked and faded the decals. I just want to remove them. Has anyone ever attempted this?

We need a new fabric for our slide topper. Highwinds ripped ours apart. Can't find one that small. We just need the fabric. Thanks.

General Discussion / 2006 PHOENIX cRUISER 2551, Lock on entry door broke
« on: January 04, 2024, 07:39:28 pm »
Hello, my entry door lock on my 2006 2551 rv broke.
I can only keep the door close by the second lock.
I had read that these locks used cheap metal and are known to break.
Is there a replacement lock I can buy that will fit the same hole?

General Discussion / Re: Need house battery for generator, which one?

So you don't need a dual battery to start generator? You can use a deep cycle battery over and over to start generator and run lights at night when generator is off. My battery works off of solar.

I have a 2006 Phoenix Cruiser 2551 26 footer.
My house battery finally died. The old one was a group 31 dual battery agm. These batteries are expensive. Can I use a group 27 dual battery instead to save some money?
Can use you a deep cycle battery instead of dual battery to start generator?  Any help would be great. Thanks.

Sounds good to me. The insurance is paying for the window too. I am having a steel cage welded around the cat converter. Then I am moving the rv to my cabin where it will be safe. I have cameras all around my property.

Thanks everyone for the help. I will go back to storage and see if there is a sticker on window frame or nearby.

General Discussion / Phoenix Cruiser was broken into at storage
« on: July 04, 2021, 02:52:11 pm »
Our 2006 Phoenix Cruiser 2551 was broken into in storage. The manager said they were homeless people and hit about 5 trailers and motorhomes in storage.
The broke the small window in the entry door and unlocked it. I am grateful they didn't brake the bigger more expensive windows. We don't see that anything was taken
that we know of.  The window is plastic which I didn't know.  Where can we get a new window and frame that is the same size?  I don't see a name on the window. Are PC door windows all the same?

This is the second time our PC has been hit. Last year someone stole the mirrors. We are moving our PC to our cabin where it is safer.

Started the rv today and heard a loud pop and engine was really loud. Looked under the rv. They cut off the catalytic converter and took it. I am glad I have insurance.

General Discussion / Stolen Mirrors on Phoenix Cruiser
« on: August 01, 2020, 01:11:01 pm »
Hello, I hope someone can help. I have a 2006 Phoenix Cruiser 2551 in a storage yard. Some jerk stoles the mirrors, both driver and passenger side. I finally got a check from the insurance and was looking on a website for Velvac mirrors. I don't know what the arm length is on the mirrors or how to measure, There 13, 14, 16 and 17 1/2 inch arms. Which ones came with the year and model?

Thanks, Scott

General Discussion / Re: Step Will Not Open
« on: February 14, 2020, 02:54:11 pm »
I had to fix my steps on my 2006 2251 last year.

If I remember the fuse is not under the step but in the fuse panel. I know I checked the fuse and it was fine.
It could be the wire harness connected to the steps that have a circuit board in them. My circuitboard went bad.
You can find them online for around $100.  I thought the fuse was connected to other things in the rv, but it was 6 months ago when I fix mine.
If all your fuses are good, it's likely the circuit board to the steps. Also check the connection inside the door frame on the bottom. Looks like a bolt.
When you open and close the door, that part must have current to work. Good luck

General Discussion / Tail pipe dripping water, is this normal?
« on: February 12, 2020, 10:33:49 am »
I started my PC yesterday and noticed a little water dripping from my tailpipe. I never really paid any attention in the past when starting it up. There is no smoke, all gauges show normal.
Is this water dripping normal from tailpipe?    :help

Hello and welcome. On the steering, I think it's normal. My 2006 2551 PC is the same way. Never had a problem, I just hold the steering wheel a little tighter.
