How do I open my Mac book pro in the back up drive and also close it. I need to look at my backed-up drive.  Hope all work out for you on the server.

Hey Billy,

Do you want to access the back up drive connected to your Mac?

If you are using Time Machine you should launch Time Machine. If you are using backup software other than Time Machine you should launch that.

If the drive is attached to the laptop you should also be able to access it directly by double clicking on the drive icon (either on the desktop of in the lefthand nav of a finder window).

When you are ready to close that window, just close it with the red circle in the left hand upper corner of the window.  I hope that helps!

Thanks Aimee, I'm talking about the eDrive. When i first start-up, in the upper left hand corner is the eDrive then quickly goes away. Have you backed up this way? How do i get that opened?thanks, billy

This time I got a little quicker and opened eDrive. I can't seem to check into any apple support. A trip to Fresno to the Apple store and after 30 minutes the apple pro told me to call apple support. I called apple support and after an hour the tech told me he would need to talk to an engineer. He had no idea?

I don't know if anything in my Keychain would affect any thing, I opened the edrive and the is a conflict?

Guess I give the Apple tech a call, see if he talked to an engineer?
