Well, newbie here. I just left Elkhart and ordered a 3100 with some floor plan changes in the living area. I'm excited, but nervous as to how I'll adjust to the space limitation from a 4 slide out 38' diesel pusher. They are delivering it to me as I've had recent surgery and cannot drive my rig up there. So I get a new rig delivered and they take mine and hand me a check for the difference.
It was nice to see it stripped to it's white fiberglass base. The inside was not finished except the cab, but I had the dash insert changed to the cherry look from the new look. Really nice and helpful people work back in that factory. Seems like Doug can do most anything within the space limits of the coach. I chose the color of Cafe.
I'm sure I will have lots of questions and spend much time on this forum and thank you to the gentleman who wrote to me. I can't find that message anymore!

Well, you regular forum readers probably know that due to the # of 2552s you all seemed to be getting, we were semi-jokingly waiting for a used 2552 to trade up for next yr.  One came up on the PC inventory link on this website & I made the mistake of calling Stuart about it.  Now I've gone & ordered a brand new one already in production instead (seemingly for less $ than that used one w/5Kmi!).  Just to reiterate what many posts here have already pointed out - Stuart worked his butt off (now he can fill it w/turkey & ALL the trimmings!) for nearly 2 days responding to my incessant phone calls & emails until the deal was done yesterday afternoon.  Our Sterling baby is about halfway down the line getting plumbing & elec right now so if any of y'all are going to be at the factory in the near future, I'd appreciate you checking in on her & mayby snapping a few pics 4 us.  Last yr we flew to Mechanicsburg, PA to pick up our 1st PC over the Thanksgiving holiday - a bit ironic that we may be traveling over the Christmas holiday to pick this one up - depending on when it is ready.

You second and third time purchasers are so hillarious.  I just love reading these stories.  I won't be telling such a story of my own......I know....never say never.  But our 2007 2350 is really best for us with our garage size and our finances.  If there had to be any kind of change for us, we'd be cashing out our toys due to hardship.  But God has been providing well for oh so many years, so no thoughts on that one.

Congratulations on your new 2552.

Thank you Ron.

I was one who was happy w/our very 1st RV - the PC 2551 - but we learned a lot using it (as well as participating in this forum) over the past yr & discovered what we would want if we ever considered another one.  Stuart had me verbalize all our "wants" & he came up with a solution that was extremely palatable.  I'm thinkin this is the one that will "mature" w/us over the coming yrs.

Enjoy your festivities today!

Still a wannabe, but hope to purchase soon.  3 alternative practical situations in play, and as of yet, remain unresolved.  My needs and desire would be as a full-timer initially.  Single loner at present.  Loved the 2900, but have really come to appreciate the 2910D.

Would definitely order with:

Maple (brighter and more practical)
That jumbo full-curbside awning pictured in brochure
Convenience package (obviously)
Power driver seat
Jacks
Surround sound
Rear view monitor
2nd Fantastic fan

Would definitely pass on:

Bedroom TV
Mirror/compass/temp
(opens up cockpit + garmin anyway + it's either cold/hot, or damn cold/hot
Leather (either cold/hot, or damn cold/hot)

Unsure on:

Partial body vs full body paint (love "Dusk")
Insulated glass (although like the all-weather practicality of the new windows)
Satellite
50 amp/2nd A/C

Would customize:

Delete curbside double chair setup - would instead choose matching corian desktop and a mix of cabinetry (hopefully as already designed and existing in other models) from front passenger back to coach door- plus one euro chair.

All chassis/handling mods ala Ron Dittmer

Limited slip or locking rear diff

Anyway - my dream, my dream unit.

That 05 likely does not have the inverter with two batteries, but at the right price, who cares?

I think the dinette in the slideout will be very cramped for most people.  If I bought it for myself, I might either replace it with a couch or make it a single bench (facing forward) with huge table/desk combo with shelves (with railings), cabinet doors, and such.

Hi David,
Interesting question.  I think the perfect one is a combination of features / performance from several models.  We have owned two.  The first, a 2100 drove like a sports car.  I could take it any place.  The current, a 2552 drives like a luxury sedan, can't do u-turns but the creature comforts and storage are great.  That said, there is much to love about every model so the best one is all personal choice.
My thoughts,  2travel

The 2100 with slide suits our travel style best as we are travelers not so much campers.   Like the fact that we have both a couch/bed    and separate dinette and do not have to extend the slide when stopping for lunch.  We do like the extra living space the slide provides when we are stopped for a few days.

I think I would go for the 2910T even though I like the length of the 2552 that we have. It would need to be on a F series chassis which I am seeing more of all the time. It would be a FRED which has 440 horse power. Nothing, nada pulls like a diesel. 3 Fantastic  fans, with vented covers, 50 amp with twin 15,000 btu AC units etc etc etc
