Screen door won't stay shut!

Happy Labor Day everyone!

Does anyone else have a very "toucy" sliding screen door? I've tightened the latch on the door jamb as far as it will go and it still wants to slide open if you even look at it funny. Suggestions anyone??  :help

Besides always looking at it w/frowny face  roflol  I adjusted mine so that the latch on the frame is a bit higher.  It's still very touchy but at least it doesn't give us a heart attack whenever a small breeze comes along.

Hmmmm......I'll have to give that a try. You're right, the frowny face doesn't work at all!  Ya, we've had a windy day and everytime a gust comes along, zip there she goes again! lol

I think it's fixed, at least for now. I put a little piece of duct tape on side of the latch to make the door fit in it just a tad tighter. That's all it took (I think). Moving the latch looked like too much work for today.  :-D

Btw, I really DO know how to spell "touchy". lol

Well, you do know the story about duct tape?
 
The only thing an RVer needs in the tool box is duct tape and WD40.  If something moves that isn’t supposed to, use the duct tape.  If something doesn’t move that is supposed to, use the WD40. (nod)

As a sailor type, I use sail slug lube & as an AV nerd type I use gaffer's tape

oh...our door is ok until I touch it.  So, I GRAB the latch and then gently open it

ok, I am with you on the tape and wd40 stuff..  But the door thing I do not have with my Cruiser.  In fact our door is the exact opposite.  We kind of have to  lift the door up a little to get it to latch and unlatch. I would think that your latch on the frame is too low.  I might think about moving it.
