replace slide out

I know this is an outside possibility but is it possible to replace a small slide-out with a longer one? I have a 2006 2350 with a slide. I see now this model's slide also includes the refrigerator in the slide out. That would really open up the inside floor area. I like my motorhome and don't want to trade. I realize this would have to be done at Phoenix factory if it's even possible. Anybody know if it is?

I don't think this would be possible. The outside wall of the slide out is cut out of the original wall. Since yours is already cut to the smaller size it would be impossible to use the existing wall. You would have to buy a whole new wall and start from there. The cost would be really high to replace the whole wall. But then if you have the money any thing is possible, if not practical.

Thanks for your comments. I figured there would have to be a way to do it since if the original slide is destroyed somehow (wreck, etc.) it would need to be replaced. Certainly cheaper than trading and buying a new unit? Just wondering how much? Anybody had to replace their slide?

The factory would have your real answer.
Anything is possible given enough money. Not only is there cost in the slideout, but the cost in relocating the furnace like is in the newer models and rewiring. It gets deeper and deeper. You may find it much cheaper to trade in your old one for a new (or newer) one.
