2011 2350 kitchen faucet replacement
« on: Today at 09:03:19 am »
So last night i replaced the kitchen faucet and wanted to share it here. We bought this rig just a month ago and have been working on all the discrepancies (yes there were several) to get it in shape. The sink area underneath is a very tight space to work in and you have to pretty much do all of the work by feel. After research here and other places i opted to but the Milwaukee faucet swap tool 48-22-7100. It worked perfectly to get the plastic mounting nuts off. Rigid also makes a version but i preferrred the length and shape better on the Milwaukee. Both are currently priced at $30 and i feel worth the money for the frustration saved. I cut the original pex tubing just below the splice connectors and installed sharkbite 1/2 to 3/8 compression shutoffs as i like the ability to isolate the water in case of a leak in the faucet in a hurry. Job only took about 30 minutes and very happy with the result. The new high rise faucet does have a clearance issue with the window crank knob so it had to be removed and i have a short stem knob on order to replace it if it fits, if not we wont use that window anyway. We are going on our first camping trip at the end of this month to a local camp ground to see how it all goes and try to identify any more things that need addressed before we wander far from home.

Hope the info provided here helps someone else. Its really not too difficult of a job if you have that tool.
