Macenator / water pump fuse location
« on: July 26, 2025, 05:57:28 pm »
Neither the macenator or water pump is getting power from the outside panel. Water pump is working so I assume I have a bad fuse. Can anyone telll me whre it is located on a 2015 2910d?  I have read it is powered from the chassis vs fuse panel
  Thanks jerry

Interesting question.

Have you actually confirmed there is no power going to the macerator?  It could be a jammed or failed macerator.  With power confirmed, to find out which batteries the macerator it is getting its power from, disconnect the house batteries and check for power again.

There is no guarantee that the macerator gets it power from the same place on every model and model year.  I couldn't tell you where our 2007 macerator gets its power from, as I don't recall ever investigating that.

The macerator does not have a fuse. It has a 20 amp circuit breaker. It has nothing to do with water pump circuit which is normally fuse #5 on your converter. Neither are powered by Chassis battery.

You have 3 circuit breakers under the bed that feed your macerator, slide-out & couch. You can check for power there but it is probably jammed or has a loose wire.

Since both the water pump switch located on the sewer panel and the macenator are both out I will look for the connections. The black and great tank motors are both operational.

Thanks

Confirmed power to switch with meter.   Jumpered switch and no joy so the pump is either stuck or failed. No humming noise. The pump is apparently inside a grey box with what appears to be a circular plexiglass access hole. Gonna dig into tomorrow -  what a crappy job:)

Update - as others have suggested the impeller blades were jammed. Could not see much or any blockage but upon turning the blades the unit is working again. At least for my model I needed to drop the screws around the plexiglass access window to access the impeller. Thanks all for the inputs.

Jerry:
My Macerator pump was bound up this spring but I got lucky.
Before digging in I tried gentle tapping with a mallet on the exterior of the enclosure with the switch on.
Two taps and it started working!
Been fine all season but I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Good Luck!

just had the same issue with my 2013. Just took off the cap, turned the blade and everything worked again.
