2007 San icon diagram
« on: April 14, 2024, 03:51:38 pm »
I have a 2007 2350, driver side rear tire blew. San icon flush tubing and wiring damaged. I have searched can’t find a diagram or picture. Does anyone have a diagram or picture of the flush tubing or wiring? Thanks

Have you checked out the Phoenix USA site under owner resources?  There is a manual for the Thetford Twiston Sanicon that gives you a parts list and gives you diagrams.

SharonL made an interesting comment.  If there is nothing available, call or email Phoenix.  They likely have something to email you.

If that is a bust, I have a 2007 2350.  I don't know if it is possible to take useful pictures, but I could try taking some of the backside of my Sanicon flush and valve operational wiring for you.

I am curious as to what you think might have caused the tire blowout.  Was the adjacent tire low on air that caused an over-load on the tire that blew?

Our 2007 2350 rear tires are spec'd to have 60 psi as stated on the PC-suppiled sticker on the drivers door sticker.  I practice it because it coincides with the Michalin tire pressure chart for what our PC's actual trip weight is on the rear tires.

The tire was the original spare. I had put it on last year it had about 2000 miles.  I think 17 years old was the problem.  The tread peeled off original good year tire.

Ah!

We still have our original 17 year old spare with the sticker still on the threads.  I maintain 80 psi in it, figuring if we need to use it, I would take out whatever air is needed pending where it gets mounted.  Who knows, maybe someone else in a crisis situation would want to buy the tire & wheel from us with an offer we can't refuse, so it is aired up to it's max rating for any application.

Since replacing all our original tires 3 years ago, I consider it for "Emergency Use Only".  Thanks for the reminder to keep it so.

When I get new tires the best of what’s coming off becomes the spare.  What happened here is exactly why.

Looking back, when I boought my jeep the spare was new with the  nubs still on it.  15 years old and looked like it just came off the mold. When I bought new tires and rotated it out the store manage drilled several holes in the side wall of that spare.  He said tires like that were deadly and he refused to risk any chance of someone using it.

The manuals on the web site don’t match my unit. I think mine is pre-thetford. I’ve repaired the wheel well, now I’ll trouble shoot the San icon. The flush lines look straight forward.    Thanks for the replies

Would pictures help? Mines a 2011 and I can take how ever many pics you’d like if might help?

Pictures would be great. My main question is which wires go to the macerator switch.

Found 2 hot wires coming out of floor. A black and yellow. Good news is macerator runs with power.

Sounds like you got it.   If wired wrong it just runs backwards.

BE CAREFUL.  My 2007 macerator colored wiring is backwards.  Hooking Black to Black and Orange to Orange, runs the macerator "BACKWARDS".  Maybe this is only my 2007 2350, but the color mixup could be chronic across many models and model years.  I really don't know.

I learned this when replacing my original macerator (PICTURES HERE) with a new one of a different brand.

Same on my 2011, wires are backwards from normal thought.   Simple enough with some water in your tank. It’ll either pump water or it won’t.
