2351D wall rattle
« on: June 01, 2023, 12:18:26 pm »
We have a first model year 2351D.  We’ve been very happy with it.  However, the wall between the bedroom and kitchen rattles to beat the band.  It’s hollow and shakes very badly over bumps.  I notice it looks like they have eliminated that wall in the new floor plan,  Good move!  I wish ours wasn’t there.

Has anyone found a way to stiffen a free-floating hollow wall?  I’m wondering about filling it with expanding foam, but concerned it could bulge the wall.

I've only seen that floor plan once or twice, but I just googled it and found a few pics of that wall. I don't see any holes /outlets /ports on that wall, but maybe you can get in thru the kitchen cabinets (or take out the microwave to gain access).

I would grab a pair of gloves, a mask and a flexible stick (or back scratcher or really large heavy duty zip tie) and push pink fiberglass insulation in it as far as you can. It won't expand. It should stay wherever you push it. It's not an electrical risk... And it's lightweight. And you only need a small hole to put a lot in... Just not as easy as a spray can.

My 2 cents.
