Still on our way home from the rally.  Pulled out of the camp ground in Texas and the service engine soon light came on and starting blinking.  Set my scan gauge to scan, and got subject code.  #6 cyl bad spark or coil.  Headed to the next town with an orileys and a camp ground.  Took the little smart and got a new coil pack and a plug.  A motor craft coil pack was $79.99!, ( each x 10 )went with the house brand.  Out of all the plugs, this was probably the easiest to get to after removing the air cleaner.  Took about an hour and all is well.  This is a 2013 with only 30k miles.

I was just inquiring if anyone had done their plug and coil service.  Ford quick lane quoted me just over 500 for plugs snd coil pack service.  I thought it sounded high.. guess not. When I get mine done I think Iíll save the old coil packs

If that $500 is parts and labor, get it in writing soon!  Just off brand parts are going to be close to that.  Would think labor would be at least 3 hr. @ $$$.

Sounds like Iím being sold a bill of something based on your findings. It does look like you were taken for a soaking just the same. Even on Amazon 10 motorcraft coil packs are $380.

Joseph, thinking about your post, that price might have been just plugs and ďbootsĒ, not the coil pak, where the money is.  And I bought house brand not the expensive motor craft coil pak.

You were right, I just called the place I usually go to and he said that was for plugs boots and labor, just as you said. He stated they donít change out coil pacs unless one goes bad and then only that one. He also looked it up and said plug service is due at the unusual mileage of 105,000 Miles per Ford motors.
