Sanicon pump
« on: October 01, 2021, 04:49:13 pm »
This morning I dumped my black and gray tanks but the Sanicon pump would not come on. It worked fine when I used it last month. There was no noise or anything. I was able to empty and flush both tanks. Since there was no noise, I thought it might be a fuse. I looked where all the other fuses are but couldn't tell what it might be under. I think they must have had the employee with the worst possible writing label the fuses. Should I be looking somewhere else?

It's one of the 20a curcuit breakers, it *may* be under the hood mounted on the driver's side fender.   It's a small self resetting circuit breaker if it's mounted there.

Other things, are your house batteries connected?  Is the 12v cutoff switch in the side entryway turned off? Did the electric waste valves work?  Check the wiring on the toggle switch, one side should read 12v DC to ground.  Check the wiring between the toggle switch and the macerator.

At times the sanicon will freeze up if not used for awhile. Take a flat blade screwdriver to the screw you'll find under the black rubber cap on the outboard end of the pump and give it a clockwise turn with the switch on. It will jump off the screw head when the pump starts.
I've even used my drill/driver to run the sanicon when it failed once, or when paper gets jammed.

Donc13--batteries connected, battery cutoff in correct position, valves worked....will look for 20 amp circuit breaker under hood tomorrow. Don't know how to get to the macerator itself.

The breaker is located under the passenger side bed.  It is the 20 amp breaker that has a black wire attached.  Beside it is a relay that starts the macerator.

The macerator hangs off of the very back corner of the coach street side. It's a black cylinder about 7 inches long 3 in diameter mas o menos. The little black rubber cap is right in the middle pointing towards the outside you can just squeeze it and pull it out.
