Replacement Hot Water Heater for 2019 Model 2350
« on: September 16, 2021, 04:03:52 pm »
Hi Everyone -
I'm a new owner of a lightly used 2019 model 2350... but haven't been able to take delivery of it yet because Campers Inn can't seem to located a replacement hot water heater.
Apparently the previous owner didn't winterize properly, so the tank is split.  Campers Inn reports that they cannot find a replacement hot water heater - - their suppliers are out of stock and don't know when they will get any inventory.
Does anyone know exactly what model hot water heater was used for the 2350?  And have you heard this of this situation where parts simply aren't available with no idea of when they will be restocked?
This doesn't make sense to me.   GRRRRRRRRRRR.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks to you all,
Bruce

Was it the "unlimited" hot water Trama model or was it a standard 6 gallon propane/electric Atwood?

If it's the 6 glon Atwood, mine (2015 model) is a model GC6AA-10E you can have a new tank put in it. The part is show as available.

No idea on the Trama water heaters.

The water heater book s/b in the owners manual packet. When you find the p/n try Camping World. The parts store manager at our local Winnebago + Thor dealership said the distributors are allocating parts to the coach builders and CW first because of supply chain problems.

Generally speaking, RV appliances and other materials are in short supply because of the impact of the pandemic, so I am not surprised to read this.  The problem is compounded because many such components are sourced overseas.  I hear lots of such materials are sitting around in shipping yards in shipping containers stacked up like sky scrapers, on both sides of the oceans.
