How do you access the back of the television in a PC 2400?

I suspect your front TV is installed the same way as my 2010 2900D model.  The TV is attached to a wood frame. The left and right sides of the frame are attached to the adjacent cabinet walls. I found 3 LONG wood screws on the right side and 2 more on the left  side. (not sure why it's not 2+2 or 3+3).  If you shine a flashlight in the crack between the TV and the side cabinets you can probably see the grooves of the screws.

Inside the cabinets you'll see the tapered  heads of the screws. They are Phillips heads and not the usual S2 heads.

It's difficult to remove the TV by yourself, but not impossible. It's even more difficult to reinstall by yourself... So make sure you have a helper. You will want to have someone hold the TV as you remove the screws on the left and right side to keep it from dropping out on the floor. When the screws are out, the TV and the wood frame will come out together. There will be several cables (RCA, hdmi, power, antenna) connected to the TV that go into the right side cabinetry.

One more thought... It's high on my list to replace this fixed wood frame with a folding TV bracket. I'd like for the TV to swing out to the right and be more in front of the sofa instead of over the cab.... Basically I'm tired of turning my head to watch a movie.

I just haven't found the right bracket yet that is sturdy enough for an RV, with a lock for travel, and the right size.  There's another thread in the forum where this part of the PC forehead was rebuilt and looks great.

It's funny that this topic came up because this is getting near the top of my wish list. And,,, the more days I am tinkering, the less days I am camping.

Removing the TV & reinstalling it on a "swing arm-type" bracket is also high on our wish list for our 2013 2910T.  So, if you, or someone else on the forum, has done this, please let me know with details on the bracket, how it's working, etc.

Thanks,

Bruce

We changed our TV in our 2012 from fixed to swivel.  It works great.

Here is a link to our installation:

We ordered our TV mount from Jensen RV but I noticed that the link in our original post does not work.  I found the same wall mount at the site listed below.
