Ron Dittmer, how do you??

Ron,

How do you attach photos to your posts.  Your pics are great because they appear larger and have text associated with each one.  I am trying to attach photos that are on my computer but cannot make them appear as you have.

thanks, Bob

I also need to know. Some where on this forum Aimee posted how to do that, I'll look for it.

On the top bar "Search" I put in "pictures" and Aimee and found the post. I'm going to try it    :beg

Found it.   http://forum.phoenixusarv.com/index.php?topic=32.0

and here   http://forum.phoenixusarv.com/index.php?topic=31.0

I'm going to explorer and see what happens.

Now I find my pictures are to big. Next thing I need to learn is to resize or take different pictures

Every picture I share is stored somewhere on the internet, not on my computer.  My own pictures shared, I store on flickr.com.

To post any picture.....
- find the picture you want to post, located on the internet
- make sure it is displayed to it's fullest size
- right mouse click on the picture and select "Properties"
- copy and paste that string of text in the Address (URL) into your post, in between Aimee's "Insert Image" text of [ img ]   [ /img ]

Thanks Ron,

So, I have to use URL internet images to insert into the text area rather than JPGs on my computer that only post at the end.  I guess I will have to get with it and find a place on the internet for some pics.  Or, is there a way to change a file from JPG to URL without going through a third party web site?  I will investigate.

Bobander,
I take my pictures in my computer, e-mail them to myself so I can pick the size I want.  After receiving them, I slide the picture from the e-mail to my desktop.  After writing what I want, I select the "additional options", click on "choose file" and then slide the picture from my desktop to the "Attach" block and if I have another picture to add I select (more attachments) and repeat the procedure.  This works for me so I do not need an Internet site to interact with.

Bob, so far so good

Gosh, I wish I knew what I was doing?

OK, is there a place I can go on the forum to fiddle around with all this stuff?

I did as Bob suggested and it works pretty well. I opened them in iPhoto (mac) and changed the size of the pixels.

Billy,

I can attach JPEGs that are on my computer, but they are always at the end of the post.  I want to insert photos into the text of the post like Ron does, seems like I have to put the photos on the web somewhere and then use the URL address to insert.  I don't store photos online now, looks like I may need to try it.

Yep, that is the only way I know how to do it that way is through storing my pics on an internet server.  Taking the pics directly off my PC and they get real small and end up at the bottom of my messages.

Billy,
I have a 24" iMac for our desk top home computer and a MacBook Pro for when we are traveling.  Switched from a PC several years ago and would not go back.
