Anyone on the forum with a TRX

Sorry for beating a dead horse with same subjet matter every 3-4 months.  Just wondering if any of the 5-7 TRX owners are on the forum and what do they think of the Transit and coach portion.

It would be very interesting to know how many TRXs have been made to-date.

The TRX started out as a diesel, quickly switching to gasoline.  I wonder why Ford made the change for motor homes.  I also wonder how the 3.5L Ecoboost gas engine performs in the Phoenix Cruiser....power and fuel economy.

This question has been posted by me and others several times, with no replies from real owners of a TRX.  (WH) Does no one really own one?  :help Does no one selling PC's encourage use of this forum?  :beg  When I look at the number of views on many of these posts, versus the number of comments or replies, my guess is that there are only a dozen or two of us actually using this forum, with an occasional query.... I wonder why? pyho

Not wanting to risk being accused of hijack... so back to the real subject ...anybody out there actually have a TRX, and not afraid to post about it? :beg

Hutch- In the latest company update Tina Cooper commented on the TRX. She mentioned more floor plan designs based on the new LWB Transit, but remarked about a major shortage of 2021 Transit chassis .

If any actual 2021’s were produced  those may become future Mecum Auction stars because the online listings for 2021 TRX’s all looked like 2020 Transits. The factory website doesn’t even show the optional slideout , but Mesa RV in Phoenix AZ has one left.

True that what 2Lucky wrote. Maybe they are all on facetoob? This  forum has shifted  from travel talk and acquaintances to gearhead talk and technical help.
In 5-10 years it’ll probably be down to a searchable  knowledge base and a chatbot called Duane roflol (insider joke for the ex Rialta Forum people).

My guess is on Facebook also. The group there is quick to give membership, and posting pictures is a LOT easier.

The policy of not showing the attached pictures here if you are NOT a member makes it less attractive for 'walk in' people to become members here. I took RonD's course of action and now link all my pics using Flickr. That way they are visible to all.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the Transit makes me want to sew my eyes shut.   :beg   Poor thing.

I suppose the best testimony of the Transit as a viable replacement for the E series is from the people buying it. The E series was set to end in 2014, and the transit was to take over that position. Worked so well we can expect a 2022 E series cutaway this August... 6 years later...  roflol

Yes indeed.  I use www.flickr.com to maintain my posted pictures and photo albums HERE.  It is surely a pain but it works.

I am also a member on a Saturn Sky forum.  Posting pictures there is so very easy.  All you do is drag the picture from anywhere on your computer into the post and it stays there for good.

To all---thanks for your comments on the TRX.  Both the Transit RV sites I belong to (WBGO Fuse and Coachman Beyond) are on Facebook...seems to be the way of the future, just not my future.  I have heard that supplies of new cutaway Transit chassis are limited....even heard that the 450's are hard to come by and a lot of the smaller builders are wait listed.  Lazy Daze is now over a 1-1/2 year wait for a new completed model.  LTV says about a year for their new Transit based Wonder.

The Transit B model Vans HD 350's dont seem to be as tough to come by.  Coachman is quoting 3-4 month waits on custom orders and decent inventory on lots.  Not sure the total reason Ford dropped the diesel from the Transit.  Did here comments about long term reliability.  The diesel Fuse's have developed a number of DEF component issues in the last year or so.  However folks still love them because of performance and mileage.  They are getting 16-18 MPG in the Fuse class C.  The new 3.5 Ecoboast is getting 14-16 MPG in the Coachman Beyonds B class and 12-13 MPG in the LTV class C wonder.

I am not sure how many TRX's have been sold between 2019 and 2021  My guess was 5-7 but could be more.  Would sure like to hear about them thou!

Hi everyone,

Finally got my account to work.
I can now tell you that me and my partner own a Ford transit diesel ⛽️ TRX.  The chassis was made in Nov 2019 and the RV TRX side was made in 2021 I believe the delay was due to covid closing the factory in 2020.
As far as know the factory only made 6 of those diesel units. We got it in St Augustine Florida.
We are remote so we take the opportunity to travel with it everywhere in North America (canada, usa, mexico)

Hopefully I answer your questions.
