No hot water

Last night I had hot water. Today, I don't.  I tied using the electric and the gas -- no hot water. I don't know what I need to check next.  Any suggestions?

Kill the power to the house.  Open up the HWT access panel outside and make sure each electrical connection is clean and tight.  You might have corrosion and/or looseness causing an intermittent connection.  Anything suspicious, clean the terminal spades with steel wool and soak the wire-ends in CLR, then rinse them in a small cup of water, dry off, crimp-tighter if they slip over too easily, and hope for the best.

If your problem is deeper yet, then my advise ends there.

I'm not where I can access my manual on my heater, but I do know that there is a control board in the unit that manages various parts of the water heater operation.  Mine had a bad board when delivered, and would not fire up on either electric or gas until the board was replaced.
Since it has a control board, that means it uses a DC feed to operate the board, and I assume it gets the DC feed from a fuse in your electrical panel--so you might check the fuses in your panel.  If you have internet access, you can search on Atwood/Dometic RV water heater--there are some troubleshooting videos online that might help.

Very good point Mike.....check all your little 12V house fuses.  I wouldn't know which fuse supports the HWT so pull them out one at a time and visually look to see if the little filament inside is solid or broken.  It is very simple to do and takes a few seconds to check each one.  A needle nose pliers will pull them out, but if you have no tools, I think a tweezers will suffice.

Check DC voltage for your 2 batteries.

Maybe the thermostatic control  is failing??
Assuming there is water pressure, propane, and 110v AC,  try turning the dial all the way up and down a few times .

For future reference

My new to me PC was purchased with a defective water heater. Yes i took that gamble but im pretty competent in repairing pretty much anything. The control board and the TSTAT & ECO sensors can prevent it from turning on, that is of course if its now a blown fuse in the panel. There is also a thermal fuse inline with the TSTAT. You can buy the TSTAT/ECO kit for $15 and the control board for about $40. Super easy to swap out. Mine was the thermal fuse so i replaced all the parts for the TSTAT/ECO and it fired right up. Have the control board put back for when i need it.
