But really... Figure a 1.5 hr install, the detachable extenders are a very reasonable solution. Lets say $750 total by the time you drive away from the mechanic.
For a well engineered, safe, easily reversible(!) solution that's not a bad deal. One slip of those LOVELY shoes

and you could easily be out much more in time and money.
@ RonD, while I was posting, Mrs V came up and we discussed camper,
and how she has NEVER operated it. We now agree that has to change. She is petite (5 foot / ~1.5M) and I wonder if the extenders may be needed once she has the seat high enough!
IIRC, your lovely Lady is petite also, has she driven the camper?
