12v source

Looking to add a signal booster to my tire traker  TPMS.  Going to add 4 more sensors for the new toad.  Want it as close to the rear as can get.  Would like to keep it inside, and not up underneath bumper.  Needs to be hot only when driving, obviously.  2552. Ideas?

The yellow  wire to your step is 12v when the ignition is on.

Would like to be further back.  Maybe tapping the input to the water pump in the rear bath, next to the toilet?  Guess when we travel the coach will be “turned on”.  Currently have the tt500.  To purchase 4 new sensors will be $160 cheapest I can find.  BUT can buy a whole new latest system for $199, tt600, 4 sensors, mount, signal booster.  Marketing!

I tow my 2019 Ford Ranger behind my 2552 without the repeater using the TST 507 system without any problems

If you don't mind turning it (the repeater) on and off, the light in the wardrobe in the bath is easy to tap. I used it to power led flood lights I put on the roof rack.

When installing my TST 507 repeater I connected directly to my house batteries and added a switch that can be accessed from one of the outside cabinets.   I placed my repeater underneath my rig about 1/2 way back.  There has been no issues with the signal and I can easily turn off the repeater from the switch.   I called the TST company who provided me recommendations on where and how best to install the repeater.

I used the back side of the 12V cigarette lighter style plug that's for the rear tv. My Tire Minder brand booster came pre-wired with alligator clips.

I leave my TPMS booster (Tire Minder) wired to the panel under the passenger side bed.  It's on all the time, but draws next to no current.  My 2551 is a 2015 model built in Dec of 14 so I presume they have the same wiring setup.   You will find a short piece of pipe (maybe 2 if my memory is right) that feeds wires from the coach battery holder up to the charger and inverter.   You can run doorbell/thermostat wires up into it and bring them to the 12v portion of the fuse/circuit breaker panel.   The other end to your booster via water proof plugs or soldered and wrapped connections.

I installed mine on the rear  wall in the closet in the bath. right under the tank heater switch. And that's where I tapped the power as well.
Easy install and about as far back as you can get!
The other day I brought my Eez tire TPMS display into the house to bump up my pressure alarm settings.
In my living room where I was sitting is about 45 feet from the RV outside.
All the tires came up on the display for both my RV and toad. 

Follow up.  Talked to the manufacturer and ask about the booster being turned on for long periods(whenever the coach “on” is on).  Said no problem looks like the little green led is on whenever powered.  Per suggestions, direct wired to the closet light feed before the switch.  Just didn’t want another on/off switch to try and remember.
