Hint:  next time you have a philips head Screw driver in your hand check the 3 screws that hold the side door lock mechanism in.  Mine had backed out enough that it made the handle not make contact when pulled causing door to not open.

There is a cast metal piece that is famous for leaving people trapped also. Be happy we have the Van doors... when researching my latch replacement, I found stories of class A folk going out the windows... :beg

Hello Volkemon
Did you replace your door lock with a different type? Mine broke and I got another from PC. I am not a fan of the lock as the  bolt on the lock is made from pot metal and it brakes where the handle interfaces with the bolt. I might make the bolt out of steel on the lock I removed so i have a spare, I figure its just a matter of time before the new one breaks. That's why I am wondering if you found a different replacement than the tri-mark.

If you get the RV Designer version (T507) of the TriMark 60-1650,it has a steel latch bolt.   A bit more expensive (on Amazon $150 vs $94 for the TriMark) but also warranted for life.
