After a sudden strong wind came up, and in attempt to roll up awning(electric, 2552) the U shaped channels on each end didn’t line up, off about 1/4” at the top, would not close up all the way. Got a large screw driver and pried at the very top and got them to line up and close. Back home and addressing the problem. On the roller, the awning is not centered and is all the way to the front, right at the end of the roller. Awning about 3” exposed roller on the back. Centered looks like should be 1 1/2” of roller showing on each end. Struggled with a lot of soapy water on both of the “veins” that hold awning to roller. Lots of tugging and unweighting of the roller and now have it centered. So the question. Has any one anchored the awning with a stainless self taping screw thru the awning, into the roller to stop it from sliding. Seem to remember my Chinook was arranged that way.
