Welcome Chet and Marsha.  I think there's lots of different RV type groups out there and maybe you can find them by looking around different RV forums.  One Group I am aware of is the Escapees Club, which started as a mail service in Livingston Texas (so full-timers could have a street address and mail forwarded).  They've grown over decades to the point where they have a number of RV parks, as well as co-op owned parks by Escapee members.  Their monthly magazine has a listing of different groups that people can join up to be with people of common interests.  I get a big kick out of the fact that the Christian group is listed next to the nudists group (and I can't help but wonder if there is any cross-membership).  The Escapees has a website with a forum on it that you can register for, like this one, then you can post on it.  It's a large group of people, very knowledgable and helpful.
Good luck!
Carol

Welcome! We belong to several clubs/groups and have saved a good bit on camping fees with the memberships. They include: Good Sam, Passport America, AAA, KOA, and the Federal Senior pass. We are aware of Escapees and FMCA but have not joined those as yet. My recommendation is to see what each group offers and compare to your style of travel and camping. Example: Passport America campgrounds give half off camping to members but usually not on weekends. If you only camp on weekends or if there are no campgrounds near your travels that belong, then you won't recoup your annual fee (40.00 I think).

If you plan to spend any length of time in Georgia, we recommend joining Friends of Georgia State Parks (discount for all veterans). You'll recoup your money quickly with free nights, discounted camping and free admission to state historic sites. We absolutely loved their parks and plan to winter there one year using their half price winter camping deal (specific parks).

We bought a separate credit card wallet to hold all our cards because John's wallet was ready to burst.

You're going to love your Phoenix - enjoy the adventures!

Hello   I just picked up our 2919T on Tue. 8 26 2014. The people at the factory was very helpful. Spent the last 2 days cleaning outside and inside.
Will load Monday for our first trip next week with the Grandkids on the week end.  We have had two 5 wheels pulled with GMC 3500 dis. This is my first Ford will see how it goes.
I have been on the discussion board about 12 weeks to see what problems I can expect with a new unit.  Thanks for all the tips.

Hi,

We are the new owners of the 2013 custom gold painted 2400 PC shown on the PC website and on Tube.  Bought it in Ft. Pierce FL the beginning of Aug and took our first 2 week trip to Missouri to see friends last week.  We named it The Bear Den since our 10 yr old rescue male Bichon, Polar Bear, and our 12 yr old Sun Conure Parrot named Sun Bear, travel with us. This was our first RV and first time camping. The dog bed fits nicely behind the drivers seat and the bird cage between the chairs during the day and on the back counter by the ref at night.  A good time was had by all until the trip home.  A rock went through the windshield, kicked up by dump truck in AL.  Insurance company had it fixed by SafeLite promptly.  Then our slide got stuck and the cabinet side would not move.  Were able to manually push it in and out until we got home and call Kermit.  Will be working on fixing it this week. Anyone with tips or tricks please respond.  We stayed mostly at State Parks with full hook ups.  No reservations just stopped when we were tired.

We looked for 6 months and the 2400 was the only unit for us. We did not want to waste space on a separate bedroom, wanted the door at the back, kitchen, bathroom and comfortable seating were a must.  This unit gives us all that and more.  Everything we need fits and everyone is comfortable.  Love our new PC even with the glitches..javascript:void(0);

Chet and Marsha,
Welcome to the FORUM y-- y-- y-- and congrats on your new PC.

We live in Punta Gorda Fl. We are now on our way back to FL from New England. It is always fun to meet PC owners. There are a few of us who TRY (the operative word) to meet at W.P Franklin Corps of Engineers Park in January. We would love to have you, or anyone who is in Southwest FL in Jan. meet up with us. We plan to be there on 1/21, 1/22 and 1/23 (I think). If you guys are interested, I will check when we get home. Sites are hard to get there in the winter.

Howdy All from Colorado Springs!

My wife, Jennifer, and I have been in the hunt for an RV for about five months.  I am about seven years from retiring, so we wanted something that we could use primarily in Colorado to haul our ATV trailer and spend a few days at a time mostly dry camping.  We will take longer out of state trips when we can, but those will be fewer and farther between than we'd like for now.

After many hours online, many visits to dealerships, a visit to the Hershey show last week, and meeting some great folks from the InterVec Travel Club in Colorado Springs last week, we finally settled on a PC2350!  Our intent was to order new, but as luck would have it, an individual on this forum was selling his 2014 2350 last week in Colorado.  After looking at it, we took the plunge and got a fantastic deal.  We are calling it our "starter" motorhome with the longer term goal of ordering another PC eventually with the exact tweaks we want after having some experience under our belt.

I want to say "THANKS" to Earl for spending so much time with me at the Hershey show.  I feel somewhat guilty buying a used unit after that, but again, it was a fantastic deal that presented itself after we returned from the show.  Also, we met Kermit at the InterVec reunion last week and I'm very appreciative that he is willing to personally answer questions even from someone that did not purchase new.

Having said that, I'm sure we will have many more questions going forward as we are new to RVing.  I am going to try to refrain from bugging the factory if possible, so I will be coming here to search for information and ask for advice if necessary.  Thanks to all who post here, it has already been very helpful!

Bob

Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your PC!!!! We can guarantee that you will be as happy with your PC as we have been with our 3--I can say that we finally got it right (for us and the way that we use it) after the 3rd try, although all have been wonderful rigs and the support from the factory has been supurb.

We stayed in CS last year at the Air Force Academy Campground, courtesy of our nephew. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. What a beautiful area!!

Again Welcome y-- y-- y--and congrats. If you are ever in FL, let us know!!

Hello - We are Dale and Cindy Gentry and we will be taking delivery of our new PC2350 on October 15, 2014.  We are very excited!  We currently have a 34' fifth wheel, but we are looking forward to downsizing and enjoying the flexibility that the Phoenix Cruiser offers.

Hello PC Family,

We are Charlotte and Milton and recently joined the Phoenix Cruiser family with the purchase of a slightly used  2013 2350.  For about 11 years we owned 5th wheel trailers and camped at every opportunity, however recent health issues made downsizing a necessity.

For months we looked at smaller class A's, but these just did not seem to be the right fit nor meet our need for a smaller RV where we could go almost anywhere and find a place to camp.  Class C's' with the "over the cab" bed and larger physical size proved to be more of the same.  Another issue is that Charlotte did not want to drive a pickup/5er not did a class A or C look more inviting.

While browsing through a Trailer Life magazine we saw a small advertisement for Phoenix Cruiser, visited the web page and were soon convinced this is what we are looking for.  We talked to Earl several times regarding a new unit, but still needed to move the 5th wheel before a new purchase of a 2350.  Used looked like the best plan, especially if a reasonable trade with the 5th wheel could be made.

Watching for used Phoenix Cruisers, especially for late model 2350s and 2552s, is interesting; there are few.  Finally, after 4 months of checking almost daily, two identical 2350s were listed, each with less than 5000 miles on the odometer, configured as we would have ordered.  A quick trip 500 miles north of our home to look at the first of the two, we found a coach slightly used in as new condition and the trade was made.

We have never seen a PC before now, did not know there was a B+ configuration.  I looked a hundreds of Cruiser pictures, on this PC site and else where, so pictures is all we had to help form our decision.  We had taken Earl's construction video tour many times, so we knew the RV inside and out.  When we sat down in our 2350 for the first time, I felt like I had been in this RV dozens of times!  We knew what to look for and performed our own PDI finding not one open issue, with the exception of tires on recall by Michelin, got 7 new ones now.

The 2350 is just right for us.  The fit and finish is very good and the quality is there.  I have found a few things that will require some attention, especially in regards to the driving/handling of the Ford E350 chassis.  I have read a lot of helpful information on this forum and have already made several chassis changes, some of which i will detail in another post.

We are happy to be here and are enjoying our Phoenix Cruiser .

Milton

(w). Hi  Milton, Bev and I are hoping to buy a new 2351, new model, in January. You mentioned you traded your 5th wheel. Was that to Earl, that's where we are at present, 5th is in consignment awaiting sale. tymote.   Tim
