Tail pipe dripping water, is this normal?

I started my PC yesterday and noticed a little water dripping from my tailpipe. I never really paid any attention in the past when starting it up. There is no smoke, all gauges show normal.
Is this water dripping normal from tailpipe?   

Yes indeed! All is well.  It is a byproduct of combustion, and also water vapor in the air.

Not to worry.  When gasoline is burned in your engine one of the products of combustion is water in the form of high temperature water vapor. When passing through the cool/cold exhaust system it condenses into liquid which gets blown out the tailpipe.  Once the exhaust warms up the water vapor does not condense and gets carried out as vapor.


The liquid water exiting your tailpipe is greater the lower the ambient temperature.  It can be more noticeable when the vehicle is only driven a short distance which does not heat up to the temperature needed to evaporate the liquid in the muffler, etc.


The liquid is acetic and corrosive.  This is one of the reasons short distance use is harder on a vehicle than longer distance where operating temperatures stabilize at normal operating temperature.

As all other replies, the water is normal.  Every vehicle I ever owned (with gasoline engine) has water dripping from the tail pipe or a weep hole in the muffler.  If you never seen it happen with your other vehicles, then your muffler has the weep hole to let the water drip on the street under the car.  Weep holes are more common when the muffler is located closer to the tail pipe.
