Mine doesn't have one either. I  looked it up and it is the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) seal. RVIA is a national association representing RV manufacturers and parts suppliers who together produce more than 95% of all RVs manufactured in the United States. Some campgrounds think that it means something relating to quality (LOL.)  Supposedly RVIA approved rigs are constructed better. They use this to keep conversions out of their parks. Like the RV parks that don't want 10 year old rigs in their snooty places.  Pretty hard to tell my 2010 2551 from a 2020.
Fun to read what people think of it online...

As it has been said i'm sure before...why would I want to go to a place that would allow people like me in?

Ron,

I just looked at the RVIA website https://www.rvia.org/manufacturer-members-list and they do list Phoenix USA as a member on their manufacturer list.

I would call Phoenix and get a number from them.  It will be interesting to hear what you are told.

We have this RVIA sticker on our 2007 PC, located on the underside of the hood.
The number is not the same across all PCs.

Underneath the hood---that appears to be standard location for Phoenix, since that is where mine is also located on my 2019 (2552).

The number is different from Ron's however (G-1715036), so either the numbers vary by unit, year, model, or some other variability.

I hear these kinds of stories all the time.  I understand that some RV parks want to maintain high standards, but really.  The good old term "high falutin" comes to my mind.  Personally, I defy most anyone from telling a well maintained PC that is ten years old from a new one.  And that applies to a lot of other brands as well.   Of course, the park owner can do as they wish, it is their park.  Me?  I would go down the road to some place I would probably enjoy a bit more.

The stickers are individually numbered.  They simply mean (as they say) that the manufacturer certifies that the motorhome meets all American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.

Simply meaning they meet all national fire and safety standards for wiring, plumbing, heating and fire.

Here at work we have an RV parking area, and 4 slots with water/electric for guests to stay a max of one week. Saw this thread saturday, so I just asked the girl in charge of booking when I was up at Admin. She said about two years ago insurance made them put 'RVIA number' on the sheet that guests have to fill out. And if all the blanks are not filled, they cant stay.  (She also said no one has had an issue with it.)
So I wouldn't be so quick to throw the park management under the bus, could just be an insurance requirement in their case also.

Insurance regs make sense. I never thought of that. It would be nice if the RV parks would inform us of this when asking for the RVIA number. I guess that could be the same thing for no older than 10 years rules?

The only sticker under my hood was a "INTERMEDEATE MANUFACTURER 49 CFR PART 587.5 CERTIFICATION" Sticker
with respect to NOS 106 & 116 " the instructions of prior manufacturers have been followed so that the chassis cab now conforms to these standard
this chassis cab conforms.to federal motor safety standard NOS

could this be the same as or work as a RVIA number??

I still need to call factory for more info. So we did not stay at that campground. there are so many places to stay that never have asked for the RVIA number
thanks for the input

Did you ever figure out how to get a RVIA sticker?

I checked into a campground yesterday and they said I needed to show them my RVIA sticker and number.
I see that PC is a member of RVIA.

Campground said they are on the outside next to the RV entrance door, no sticker on mine. How do I get one?

Open the hood, it should be on the underside of the hood.
