New PC2350 questions
« on: November 04, 2019, 10:20:12 pm »
Does anyone have the Euro chair?  It was taken out of the one I bought; just wondering how useful, or not, it is.  Other question has to do with filling water; by the macerator, there is a dial that says city, tank, and normal.  Wondering what normal means because my city water didn't fill until I turned the dial to city, so is there a problem there?  Also, does the dial need to be on tank for the fresh water fill, which I will say did not fill very well.  I think more water came out of the hose on the RV than in the tank, but that's something my RV guys can look at unless I'm missing something.

Appreciate your input.

No Euro chair, and for our needs thats great. We never have people inside, so the clear cargo area is much more valuable.

No help on the valve, sorry. We dont have that ""upgrade"" . Too old.

We use the Euro chair constantly but we are full time. It is that favored recliner that most people have in their living rooms. We have a custom set up with cabinets and a flip up desk behind the passenger seat so space is even tighter than most but we wouldn't give it up.

The real question is whether it works for you and that depends on your use of the Phoenix. If you sit inside a decent amount -inclement weather, relaxing mornings with coffee, reading, evenings in front of the TV, the chair is awesome! If you run from point A to point B and spend your time in the driver seat, the bed, or out of the rig, you probably won't use it much. It is a very nice sitting spot IF you sit. If you load a bunch of gear or cargo, space for stuff may take precedence over comfy chair.

Being full time we probably spend more time inside than people on shorter trips. If it's wicked hot, evil cold, or swarming bugs, you'll find John either in that chair or propped up on his bed reading.

We enjoy our Eurochair.   I modified slightly how it is attached to the floor.   I simply moved it out from the wall another inch or so by drilling a new hole in the floor and reinstalling the same hold down.  We wanted a bit more room behind the chair because we carry the PC table that came with our 2350 plus a smaller table I built.  I also modified the PC supplied table from two pedestal to one by moving one of the receivers to the middle of the table, using a regular rv tubular table leg and mounting another receiver on a piece of plywood 24 inches in diameter to be the base.  Our PC came with two tripods which gave great stability but poor foot space under the table.  We were always tripping on them it seems.

Since it is just the two of us, this works well.  We normally leave the table up in front of the couch when camped and use the chair as a recliner or just a nice comfortable reading chair.   You obviously have to find out what works best for you.

Our 2013 doesn't have the fill valves the OP inquired about.  I don't know what year those were added.  Since we mostly boondock anyway, we carry water and pump it up into the tank with a transfer pump.

The Eurochair is used all the time - by me, my wife, or any guests - seem to gravitate to it before anywhere else.  The "normal" setting on your valve is for use with the water pump when not connected to city water.

Jack D, thank you about the dial valve.  Am I correct in assuming that the dial needs to be pointing to tank when filling the tank, and when you put in your hose, does water still come out?
