My first little mod...

I prefer to use a dedicated RV GPS unit rather than the one in the dash.  While trying to decide the best location to mount it I decided that a pocket in the dash would make an ideal location for it.   That location puts it at a nice height without obstructing my view at all and also puts it at a very easy to reach location.   I have a 3D printer so I modeled a mount that would slide right into the pocket.

Excellent!

How's it do on rough roads?  Any looseness and/or does it start to work its way out?

Thanks!
Don

DONC13,

That's a good observation.   Since the pocket has a draft on it and the mount would work its way out I made my part slightly narrower vertically and used a piece of double sided tacky tape on the bottom side.   With that it's staying in nice and tight.    I made the ball the same size as the Garmin ball so it pivots with the same friction and stays put very nice.

And you are selling them/instructions for how much?
Jack is what we call our PC 2351D, and he has taken us from campers to RV'ers and loving it. We're no longer Team Bob. Just Jack the RV!
