I would surely grease all points every 10,000 miles.
Elaborating here a little more on what keelhauler stated........
Locations of grease fittings are as follows.
- 1 upper grease fitting per front wheel
- 1 lower grease fitting per front wheel
- All steering linkage grease fittings, at least 3 maybe 4 or 5...... I don't recall the exact quantity.
- Some E350s and/or E450s have grease fittings in the U-joints. My 2007 E350 does not.
It is possible that you have a tiny bolt (a hex cap) instead of a grease fitting in any of the places mentioned. The cap needs to be replaced with a grease fitting, either a straight fitting, a 45 degree fitting, or a 90 degree fitting pending the access to it. Then leave the grease fitting in and discard the tiny bolt.
