Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity Stickers

For those of you who have recently purchased a new Phoenix Cruiser did your coach have an Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity Sticker (OCCC Sticker) placed in your Coach by Phoenix Cruiser? 

For those who are not aware the placement of a OCCC Sticker in all Motorhomes is a mandatory requirement by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)-see attached Exhibit #13.

When I took possession of my 2018 Phoenix Cruiser Model 3100, Phoenix Cruiser didn't place the required OCCC Sticker in my coach.

For those of you who purchased any of the following models:  2910D, 2910T, or 3100, did your coach have an OCCC Sticker placed in your Coach?  If yes, what was the Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity of your Coach?

I'm concerned for any future buyers of the above three models, you may have overweight issues especially if your add the options of Liquid Springs, and HWH Auto Leveling Jack.  In my opinion I don't believe the Ford E-450 GVWR of 14,500# is adequate for these three models when adding the two options I mentioned.

Jam4travel:   I hear what you are saying loud and clear. I must ask if you checked the passenger door frame for a very small yellow sticker with all weights listed?  I missed it on my 3100.  Having been a very happy 3100 owner in the past I must say I was always concerned about the GVW.  With that said,  on multiple occasions when I was reasonably loaded I had the coach weighted and while very close I never ran overweight.  I did not have dual pain windows or liquid springs that I am sure together would have pushed me over the GVW.  There is no question the F450 needs to be utilized in all longer class C/B coaches

Ron, I'm 100% sure my coach didn't have a yellow OCCC Sticker when I first took procession of the coach.  I kept contacting Phoenix Cruiser about the missing OCCC Sticker, but they ignored me.  So I finally weighed the coach myself (no cargo, no occupants, fresh water tank empty, grey & black tanks empty, full tank of propane, and full tank of gas).  My OCCC was only 580#, and the rear axle was only 240# from being overweight.  I sent Phoenix Cruiser a copy of the CAT Certified Weight Scale Ticket, and complained about the unacceptable OCCC number.  I did try to get Phoenix Cruiser to buy back my coach-they refused.  After I provided them with the weight information of my coach, they sent me via mail an OCCC sticker-5 1/2 months late.

John,

My 2019 2552 delivered in February has the OCCC Sticker inside the passenger door frame.  Available weight reads 1682 pounds.  I haven't actually weighed the coach yet for comparison.

Last summer I had our 2018, 2552 weighed by wheel. We were enroute to Alaska for the summer (4 months) so the camper was packed with all the necessities and a lot of nice to haves, like fishing, hiking gear, etc.  The weighing configuration follows:

Fuel and LP tanks full
Fresh water and holding tanks at 50 %
My wife and I were in the camper (~300 lbs)
Our 65 lb yellow Lab was on board
Spare tire installed
HWH leveling jacks
50 amp service (2 ac units)
2 roof top solar panels
Euro chair
2 AGM 6 volt batteries
We do not have a slide (and don’t miss it)

I’m happy to say that we have a 1030 lb margin (400 in the front and 630 in the  rear). Total coach weight 13470. Our coach has a OCCC sticker that lists our carry capacity as 2140 lbs.

Those yellow stickers must not include options and such. I remember looking at stickers at the factory for a 2919D and 2910T.  They had the same number even though one unit had 2 slides and the other 3 slides.

Most RVs with more than 2 slides need planning to keep weight down.  At least PC is a quality built coach.  Everything is a compromise.
