Do I need to winterize RV

It hasn't been very call this winter in Dallas and I didn't winterize. Now next week we have 3 nights in the 20's, during the day it will be above freezing. The RV is in a large metal building with no heat and is a little warmer then outside. I can winterize if needed, but if I simply turn the heat on in the RV should I be OK.

If you have AC power just set your thermostat at 50 and you should be fine, It takes time to freeze and you probably would be OK in a building even without that if the below freezing time is less than 12 hours.

Keelhauler is right on the mark.  Sit back and let the cold weather pass. The coach will be fine without any red stuff!

Thanks for the advise, I will get the heat going just in case.The low for the three days is 20 degrees one night and mid twenties the next two nights. The highs are the mid thirties to the low forties during the days.

Rick, what a difference a few miles make.  It is going to be single digits at night  in Oklahoma City this weekend.   You didn't definitively say you had 110v service in the storage facility but if you do using the heat strips on the AC should work great.   I would open the interior cabinet doors and I sure would not use the LPG heater indoors.   Do you have heat strips on your tanks?   If they have something in them you might think about turning them on and I am sure others on this forum can advise you on them.  I have them but I have never used 'em.   

I just looked up average high temps for this weekend in OKC and they are about 60F. Since we will not be above freezing for several days, we will be about thirty degrees below "normal" if such a thing exists.   Normal for me is to dewinterize about March 10 and not worry about it.   Not going to happen in 2019 I bet.

One thing about it:  it gives me more sympathy and understanding of folks north of here and their every winter situation in regard to using their rigs.

Just a few weeks ago here near Chicago, it hit -32 degrees F at our house.  Our PC is in our heated garage so I had no worries.  But if our PC was stored outside, I wonder if the pink anti-freeze would be adequate.  I think it would be best to remove the water from the traps instead of mixing pink in with it.  Getting all the water out of the fresh water lines is a hit-or-miss.  Then there is always "some" water in the fresh water tank and also in the hot water heater.

If you have 110V available, I would open the bathroom and shower doors, all cabinet doors and drawers, drape a quilt over the two front cab seats and tuck around to seal the front cab from the house, draw all shades closed, make sure all roof vents are closed, place a small 110V 1500 watt heater and run it on high.  For bigger PCs, place two heaters spaced apart and set them one heat setting lower to avoid tripping the circuit breaker.

When parked the RV has access to a 20 amp household circuit.  In the rear of the interior, where the water tank and plumbing are located, I placed an electric heater.  Which is on a thermostat to start when the inside temp reaches ~40f.  This technique has worked for me.  BTW: I also leave the cabinets open to help in circulating warmer air around the pipes.  Both black and gray tanks have been treated with anti-freeze.
