Volkemon, you surprise me, you give me a big pat on the back for posting my problems, now you've seem to change your mind. As you can tell I'm hi strung and excitable. When things aren't right I'll tell you about it, that's just me. You said you missed the part about PC owners defending PC. You did, in your last post you said there is a caveat, Specs and items can be subject to change. PC didn't change there specs or capacities, it's been wrong since before I bought one. I don't think they are doing this on purpose, I think an honest mistake was made long ago and it should be corrected. You say my attitude is bad, you are correct on that. You are also correct about the number of posters on the forum, this forum has more than most. I called out Ron and Jatrax because they suggested I get rid of my PC and move on, that made me mad. No one should have to get rid of a 10 month old PC because of problems and lose a lot of money in the process. I don't know what you mean by (flown the THEY won't let this continue flag. Haven't you been expected to be banned before) I've gone over all my posts, I've posted more than I thought. One thing I've noticed is I've repeated myself a lot about some of my problems, everyone is probably getting tired of hearing about it, that's why they told me to move on, I get it. PC service is great, the guys in the office and shop are great, I'm not complaining about that, I just don't think I should need so much service and repairs on a 10 month old PC, that's why I sold my View with 239,000 miles, to avoid all the repairs. Most of all I'm disappointed in myself for believing my PC would be close to trouble free. The rv industry is poor quality, I knew that and I shouldn't have expected so much. I will let you have the last post, I won't reply.
Lynn
Well, Sorry you wont reply, but hope you do read this anyway. Please reconsider and participate! You do speak your mind, and stay true to it. Hard quality to find these days...most people are so afraid to offend they wont speak what they feel to be worthy. Be loud and be proud!
Well, as far as defending PC, I still stand by what was said. The terms I referred to are used in almost every sales literature I know of, and not PC exclusive. If I recall, you were going to pursue the tank issue under warranty. I would be curious to see what the result was. You do have a case, IMO, and they should 'make you whole' as lawyers say.
""I don't know what you mean by (flown the THEY won't let this continue flag. Haven't you been expected to be banned before) "" Poor phrasing by me. I seemed to recall that you had mentioned that you might possibly be banned for posts you made previously, maybe a couple times. Odd thing to read, so it stuck in the head. I say again, for a factory forum, I am impressed at what they allow to be posted sometimes.
I am fortunate in one way.. having been a mechanic and fabricator for most of my life, I have very low expectations for custom builds. I have seen SO much lousy work on RV's that cost well into 6 figures.. The ONLY way I would buy new is to be on the line during the build. PC was our choice for that, and why Mrs V searched out the 2350. But it appears that the factory option may be gone. Sad if it is, not sure if there is any other maker that offered that service.
How about quality in my 2006 2350? Well.... I have the windshield out of it right now fixing serious cancer around the top. Lots-O-holes. Why? When the windshield got replaced 10??? years ago, (we dont know exactly) the tech cut hard and deep to get the trim off. Hard enough to score down to bare metal, and deep. This was never primed, and just covered up by the new edge trim. 10 years of rusting in peace... my headache. Lack of quality in the aftermarket... ok... When Fernando puts my windshield in tomorrow, I will be watching and assisting. It will be done right.
How about factory quality? The cabinet above the front seats is held in by 8 screws through the metal roof and into the bottom of the cabinet. Well, mine got 7. OK, no big deal. NOT ONE OF THEM WENT INTO THE WOOD. All went into the metal, lifting it off the wood, but giving no support. On the passenger side, it lifted the center screws just enough to barely touch the wood above...giving the rattle sound we have been tracking. FOUND now, but factory defect. Someone there did catch it, but later in the build. Two longer cabinet screws are installed from the back of the cabinet, and anchor the unit from coming backwards. At least it didnt fall out

... but now I know all the squeaks and rattles were for good cause.
I know Ron has a 'fix' that was factory recommended for the loose upper cabinet.. I think a REAL fix could be done with nuts and bolts without removing the headliner. Just the door gasket, and pull the edge down. Mine headliner is completely out now, and there are gonna be SELF LOCKING NUTS AND BOLTS with big washers to hold the cabinets in and firm. Not ~8 cheesy self tappers.

Wonder how much more it would cost to do it right the first time.
Then there is the wrong staples not holding in a support cleat... too short..

It never stops. Posting this on the facebook page for PC, putting pictures here is a PITA and non members cant see them. This link to the pics should work even if you dont have a facebook membership. Covers Saturdays part of the adventure, be posting more from sun and mon. Windshield is out, major bodywork done and finish paint tonight. New windshield goes in tomorrow PM.

And this is in my 2006 RV, built during good economic times and on a slow paced line. Should be interesting to see what happens when current production doubles from the same line. Imagine when someone sees your 2018 and tells you that YOU got one of the good ones...
